There are a lot of things I'm grateful for. Way more than would fit the journaling spot on my layout. Anyway, I tried to note as many things as possible, for example the sun, the seasons, food, health, freedom in my country, and friends & family. Also, the more trivial things like tv, internet, books and radio. Even though my life has it's usual ups and downs, I'm thankful for every day and to be able to share in it's great experiences.

I was so excited to create a 'blessings' mini album for the "Be Thankful" theme this month. I wrote down several ideas of what I'm currently thankful for and paired that list down to four; Love, my Dog (best friend), Running, and Travel. I feel incredibly fortunate to have these four things so prominent in my life right now and they have all defined me over the course of this past year.
I can't seem to stay away from the "Acorn Avenue" collection; I find myself reaching for it in all my recent projects and this mini album was no exception. I really wanted to keep this album simple, so I created a repetitive design on the left-side of each page. The vellum garland in the newest collections are a favorite new product of mine and I was so happy to find a way to work them into my album.

I have so much to be thankful for this year, not the least of which is my family. My husband, two year old son, parents, sister, in-laws...all of those people mean the world to me and I'm thankful every day that they are a part of my life. But this year, I have something extra special to appreciate --- a healthy pregnancy. At five months along, things are going smoothly, I feel great, and the little person inside of me is moving all the time, which is a wonderful feeling! That's why I decided to document it in a mini layout.
It's a 6" x 6" page and features an atypical color scheme when it comes to babies. By choice, we don't know what we're having so I couldn't go with pink or blue. I really wanted to use "On Trend" for this project so I chose bold gender neutrals instead -- yellow, green, and touches of red. Tags and tape stickers were my main embellishments, while the flipside of Latest with hints of La Mode and Couture set the background tone. The wood fawn with the red spots from Acorn Avenue was a perfect finishing touch!
These are all fabulous!! I am loving the mini!!!!!
