It's that time of year, upon holiday's approach, when we thank our lucky stars for the many wonderful things that life has brought us. To count the number of ways in which Crate Paper is thankful would mean jotting down all your names here via one long list. That list would go on for miles. Instead, we'll simply say "Thank-You" for your support. Your love of Crate is what makes us "most happy". Lucky we are.
Speaking of which, the week entails five day's worth of gratitude from the talented CP Design Team. Feel up to contributing your own gratitude project? How about Acorn Avenue in it's entirety? Follow along with your very own "oh-so-thankful" project by next Sunday {Nov. 18. 2012}, and we'll choose a fave to announce on Tuesday {Nov. 20. 2012}. Winner takes home Acorn Avenue. Every bit of it. There's lots to be thankful for.
* Please ensure project submission is 75% Crate Paper. Should be freshly crafted. Send it to [email protected] by the published deadline. Layouts, Cards, and Altered Items accepted.

Last week, we promised to give away an "On Trend" collection kit in exchange for your holiday color combo idea. There are 90+ replies, and just one winner..
Last year I went monochromatic with different shades of red and burgandy...so this year- pink, mint, and gold!!! And I would love to use some of the pink On Trend patterned paper to really kick up my holiday projects! :) Posted by: Rachael F | November 08, 2012 at 05:43 AM

When I read the word "Thankful", my mind goes straight to my family. Every single time. I'm so blessed to have them. So thankful that they're always there for me, through everything. It's only natural that I create a layout about my family for our Creative Weekly this month. :)
The subtle pattern on the back of Winter Wonderful paper {Sleigh Ride} works perfect for what I have in mind. I wanted a neutral background so my photos and embellishments stand out and I got just that. I used my silhouette to cut out "thankful", twice on a piece of patterned paper and layered them together with foam dots and misted them pink. To embellish the page, I used some Vellum Die-Cuts and brads {Sleigh Ride}. The blue butterfly {On Trend} has glitter on it. Using glitter is an easy way to add some bling to your pages.

I have so many things in my life to be thankful for. I have an amazing family, supportive friends, a job I really like and a hobby that I adore! When I was trying to decide what to scrap for this month's Creative Weekly, focusing on gratitude, all of these things immediately came to mind. But, I decided to take a different route. I fully believe that happiness is found in being thankful for the everyday, little things, that make life so full. So, I decided to go that way with this page. On November 6th, I documented several of those moments and things that gave me a sense of gratitude. It was election day, so being able to let my son sleep in - and not battle with him to get out the door - was definitely on the list. And after being without a refrigerator for 10 days you can bet I was grateful for my brand new one. Taking ryan with us to the voting booth was another event that I felt thankful for.
I could have done a traditional autumn color theme for my gratitude page, but decided to go with some bright colors and black and white pictures instead. I used my current new favorite paper, White Christmas from the Sleigh Ride line, for the background. Then, I added pops of color using On Trend. I love how the large chevron pattern, which I highlighted at the top of the page, points down to the photos of all of the things I was thankful for that day. I definitely see myself reflecting on all of the little things that make my life complete, and creating more pages like this in the future.
Congrats to Rachael!!! LOVING today's projects!! They are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!
