Hello and welcome to the Crate Paper Blog today. It’s me Sandra and I’m sharing three cute Valentine’s cards. Sometimes it is quite hard to find a way to express the strong feelings you have for someone. What if they are too big to be put into words? So, why not express what’s in your heart with a handmade card! And with Valentine’s Day approaching, I thought you would like to see some inspiration to get you started. The cards are made in minutes, but their message goes a long way.
To make the cards, I used papers and embellishments from two older love-themed collections ‘Main Squeeze’ and ‘LaLaLove’. You can’t go wrong with the cute stickers and wonderful patterned papers from these two collections.
How to make the cards:
- Choose your favorite papers from the LaLaLove 6x8 Paper Pack.
- Score and fold them to create the base of your card. You can either create cards in size 4x6 or 3x8. My cards are size 3x8. I wanted to try a different format. And I really like how they are a bit different from ‘normal’ cards.
- Pick stickers and embellishments from Main Squeeze and LaLaLove.
- Depending on the shape and size of your card, arrange the stickers and embellishments you’ve picked to decorate your cards.
- You could also add a piece of delicate ribbon or lace in a matching color to add more structure. TIP: I used double-sided tape to attach lace onto my third card. The card has only a few items, but it says a lot.
I hope you enjoy my cute Valentines cards and feel inspired to create your own. And don’t forget this February that “Love is in the air”. Wishing you a lovely and creative day!
Yours,
Sandra
