Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here. Today I want to show you how can you make a colorful and fun scrapbook page using only one patterned paper. Yes, you read it right! As Valentine's Day is around the corner I decided to pull out the Crate Paper La La Love collection from my stash and create something pink. I also have a process video to share. I hope it will inspire you to make something similar.
For the background, I have picked a smooth light pinkish card stock. The Heartbeat Patterned Paper includes tons of different hearts that I fussy cut. After I got enough hearts I marked the background at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 inches. I drew a light line with a pencil. I used these lines as leading lines so I know where to place the hearts.
I arranged the cut-out hearts in five rows and glued them with a tiny liquid adhesive in the middle. After, I run it through with sewing machine and stitched all the hearts. Then, I made sure to bend the hearts to get a 3D look. I placed my photo on the left and decorated it with Thickers, floral Card stock Stickers and other bits.
To balance the page I created a small cluster on the right. Here, I added the same black flower like previously next to the photo. In the end, I stamped the date with black ink.
I really like the look of the 3D stitched hearts. You can see how easy to make something colorful if you have the right patterned paper. I always love to fussy cut flowers or other fun elements from paper and arrange them a different way on my scrapbook page.
