Hi Crate Paper Fans,
It's Flóra here today. I am sharing our December Countdown I made for ourselves. As we don't have kids yet, this is an adult and simple version. It is also a good last minute option. I bought our favorite bon-bons and wrap them in 24 little box. I really like to make triangle boxes because it is super easy, you don’t need lots of materials and you can hide so many gifts in it.
I have used the lovely Snowflake collection to create these triangle boxes. I selected my favorite patterned papers from the line and trimmed 2.5" x 4.5" pieces. I glue them together and matching stitched them on the top and bottom. Of course, before I closed the box I placed a chocolate bonbon into each. You could also add date tips if you wish.
After that, you can decorate the boxes with numbers if you want to make a traditional advent calendar. I only added cute stickers from 6x12 cardstock sticker sheet. We will just eat one candy each day. The last one on 24th December.
I placed all the 25 boxes into a golden wire basket. I also decorated the basket with pretty die cuts and a big chipboard title. I love how everything came together in the end. The cute basket with all the tiny boxes will be a great holiday decoration on our table.
I hope you find inspirational my simple Christmas Countdown. I wish you wonderful December and peaceful preparing.
