Hi and welcome to the Crate Paper Blog. It's me, Sandra. And today I'm sharing a collage-styled layout with a special handmade embellishment. I created a decorative photo frame made of tassels. I used raffia and a silver wire to make the photo frame. Let's have a look at the layout:
How to:
First, grab two 12x12" patterned papers of your choice. Use one of these papers for the background. Second, cut 10 paper squares in different sizes from the second patterned paper. Third, glue down the paper squares onto the background paper. Fourth, grab your sewing machine and add stitched details in two different colors onto the paper squares. You can go really wild and add circular stitches onto the large centre paper square.
Fifth, create a unique photo frame. I used raffia to make 29 tassels. Then I strung all tassels onto silver wire, bent the wire into a circle, and winded the ends with pliers. Sixth, cut a photo to fit inside the photo frame. Glue down the photo and the frame onto the background.
Finally, decorate all paper squares with a variety of embellishments: butterflies, sequins, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, charms, enamel pins, etc.:
Last but not least, I hope you like my scrapbook layout inspiration with papers and embellishments from different Crate Paper Collections.
Have fun creating today!
Yours, Sandra
