Hi and welcome to the Crate Paper Blog! It's me, Sandra. And today I'm sharing some sweet treats for Father's Day. It doesn't take much to create sweet little presents for dads. The main thing is the idea and the addition of just a few embellishments (and treats) to make dads happy. Each of the projects features a button up shirt and a tie cut from different patterned papers. You can find a template at the end of this post. It's a bit different from the shirt I used for today's projects. However, I hope you still like it. And now let's have a look at the projects:
Project 1 | Treat Box
Grab a plastic box (or any other box or container) and fill it with sweets.
Cut the shirt and tie from patterned paper. TIP: The front and the back of patterned paper are great together. So use the front for the shirt and the back for the tie (or vice versa). And then glue all pieces together.
Next, tie a ribbon around the box and decorate with stickers or ephemera.
Project 2 | Sweet Treat
Fill a paper cup with sweets. I used a white paper cup with fun golden polka-dots.
Cut two shirts and a tie and glue down the tie onto the first shirt. Then make a 'sandwich' and layer the shirt with the tie on a small wooden stick (e.g., a toothpick). Glue the second shirt onto the backside. This will create a 'shirt-on-a-stick' embellishment.
Grab a clear bag and fill it with sweets. Put the bag into the cup. Then add the shirt on the stick. Finally, decorate the cup with small embellishments.
And here is the template for you to download:

Last but not least, I hope you like my father's day inspiration with papers and embellishments from different Crate Paper Collections.
Have fun creating today!
Yours, Sandra
