Hi and welcome to the Crate Paper Blog! It's me, Sandra. And today I'm sharing a fun DIY vacation mini album inspiration. I used photos from my recent trip to Los Angeles, which was really fun and exciting. Above is an accompanying video tutorial, where I guide you through the process of creating this mini.
The special thing about the mini is the cover. I used adhesive p.p. film to protect the paper cover. You can create the mini album without the p.p. film. However, the film adds strength and durability and will help keep your mini album looking great and clean for a long time.
The album is made of a cover and two three-fold pages. You can find the measures of the cover and the album pages further down.
One of the pages has a see-through window where I added golden sequins. This adds a playful and elegant touch.
The album has a few interactive pages with pockets to store photos. You can take the photos out of the pocket and have a look at them.
And I used larger photos and smaller photos for more variety.
Some pages are decorated with washi-tape, stickers, rub-ons and journaling.
And here are the measures for the cover and the album pages:
Quick DIY steps mini album:
- Cut paper for cover (Willow Lane - Together), 21 cm x 15 cm.
- Cover with adhesive p.p. film (optional, but recommended for more strength, durability, and a special glossy cover).
- Add eye-lets with Crop-A-Dile from American Crafts.
- Cut inside pages (28,5 cm x 14 cm).
- Score at 9,5 cm and 19 cm and fold.
- Cut window with a die and a die-cutting machine.
- Sew inside pages onto the spine.
- Decorate your pages.
- Enjoy your memories in your new mini album :).
Last but not least, I hope you like my DIY vacation mini album inspiration with papers and embellishments from different Crate Paper Collections.
Have fun creating today!
Yours, Sandra
