Hi everyone, it's Amber here! I hope this month has been bringing you plenty of sunshine, flowers, and adventure. I just love May! I wanted to share a special layout documenting a photo from last May, in 2018. The photo just captures so perfectly the essence of this beautiful month. Bright colors and florals galore!
What makes this layout extra special though is the creative title I decided to use. Using a longer title is a creative challenge for me. With my personal scrapbooking style, I don't tend to use titles very often. But there was a quote I love that perfectly compliments this photo, and I really wanted to use it on this layout. To create the layout, I decided to use the pretty Whimsy paper as my base. I then layered some more patterned paper to the left side, and mounted my photo on white cardstock. Around the left upper corner of the photo, I arranged some fussy cut florals.
To the right of the photo, I tucked in the Summertime journaling card and added some more embellishments. I just love the yellow acetate flower and the tissue paper flower! I added a couple more fussy cut flowers, and a little charm too.
To the top of my photo, I added a gold clip to give a more creative and dimensional effect. I then added some puffy and chipboard stickers to the top and bottom of the photo. Finally, I arranged my title to the right lower side of the layout. It reads: "Life Is A Garden, Dig It." I think the title fits perfectly for this layout, as I incorporated a lot of flowers. And my photo captures me savoring the smell of a rose.
I used two sets of alpha stickers - the All Heart pink foam thickers, and the Sunny Days gold glitter thickers. The two colors work cohesively to create a subtle, yet bold title that ties the whole layout together. I just love how it adds something extra special to the finished product! There are so many ways to use these gorgeous alpha stickers. They're extremely versatile and can be just that perfect finishing touch for any project. I hope you'll find inspiration to use them to make a creative title for your next layout.
