Interactive Mother's Day Card

Hi friends! I’m so happy to be here on the Crate Paper blog again. I’m sharing a super cute Mother’s Day scrapbook project that I think you guys are going to love.

If there's one person in this world who deserves something special for all the incredible things they do, it's my mother! I have one amazing Mom, and words cannot come close to describing how grateful I am for all she's done for me. Moms are simply the best, and with Mother's Day coming up, I wanted to come up with a creative idea that is simple yet functional.

I decided to do a creative spin on a Mother's Day card - something sentimental and heartfelt that you can also include a gift card with. This is a project that really anyone can do! And the best part is you can customize and make it as detailed or as simply as you want.

I decided to use both the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection and the Crate Paper All Heart collection. Both are vibrant and feminine, and I feel they both worked really well for a "Mother's Day" themed project.

To start, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper down to 9 inches long by 6 inches tall. Then I scored the paper at inches 4 & 5. Once I folded the paper along the score lines, I had a dimensional card.

I then adhered different patterned papers to the inside pages of the card. To the left side, I created a set of flip-up tabs to include sentimental journaling to my Mom. I embellished them with stickers and chipboard.

To the right side, I stuck down one of the Sunny Days gold clips. This is to secure a gift card in place! Or if you don't wish to include a gift card, you can clip in some cute photos of you and your Mom. All Moms love photos!

I decorated the cover with a couple layered pieces of patterned paper, one of the All Heart Polaroid frames, and spelled out "Mom." I used the Sunny Days sticker letters for the two "M" letters, and used an acrylic glitter heart in place of the "O". To finish it off, I stuck down one of the Sunny Days fabric bows!
