Hi friends, it’s Amber! Thanks for joining me on the Crate Paper blog today! I’m super excited to share today’s project with you. If you hadn't already heard, Crate Paper has collaborated with Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts! You can now find several Crate Paper products from the Sunny Days and Flourish collections there. Pretty awesome right!?
One of the products that JoAnn's is carrying for both collections is called a Project Pad. This is a pad consisting of select patterned papers from the collection, some glitter papers, some cardstock papers in colors that match the collection, stickers, and alpha stickers. It's essentially a perfect little sampler of the entire collection.
The Project Pad is ideal for any Scrapbooker, no matter what skill level. However, I feel it's especially useful for those who might be newer to scrapbooking, those who have a simpler style, those who can't or don't want to buy all the products separately, etc.
I was so impressed with the Project Pad and felt inspired to create a scrapbook layout only using the products from the pad.
I decided to go with the Sunny Days Project Pad and began working on my layout. What's really cool about the pad is that is comes with several glitter papers and plain colored cardstock. The colors coordinate perfectly with the collection so you can add and layer to your heart's desire.
I loved the coppery glitter paper as well as the soft pastel pink purple cardstock. At first, I wasn't sure how I'd incorporate them into the layout, but I knew I wanted to use them. For the patterned paper, I went with the Apple Blossom of course! It's definitely my favorite paper out of the entire collection.
For the arrangement of the three papers, I left the copper glitter paper at 12 x 12. I then cut the pink purple cardstock down by 0.5 inches on only two edges. Then I did the same thing with the Apple Blossom paper, but this time trimmed it down by 1 inch on only two edges.
After the papers were trimmed, I layered them on top of each other so only two edges of the glitter paper and the pink purple paper showed from behind the Apple Blossom paper. I really like how it came together.
From there, I wanted to add a little more of a "plain" background without a pattern to some part of the Apple Blossom paper because it's a busy pattern. I didn't want the florals to get lost among my embellishing. So, I decided to trim a strip of the light blue cardstock and mounted that onto the Apple Blossom paper.
On that blue strip, I adhered my photo backed on some white cardstock. To the right side of the photo, I created a floral cluster using the flower stickers from the project pad. On top of the florals, I stuck down "The Sweet Life" sticker.
I also used the "Look On The Sunny Side" sticker with another small flower, that cute little peach, and a gold heart.
To the left side of the photo, I added some more colored hearts and a lemon. I also cut the pink number "2" from the numbers paper in the project pad, to represent the "two" of us. The "Follow Your Heart" sticker was a super fun touch as well!
There are so many stickers, letters, and papers contained inside this amazing project pad. Creating several gorgeous scrapbook layouts has never been more easy and more organized. I'm so impressed with the project pad and can't wait to make more layouts with it. I hope you enjoy it too!

You did a great job. A like pastel colours, especially a turquoise one.
