Hi! It's me, Sandra. And I'm sharing some cute gift boxes that I created with the Merry Days Collection. The boxes are perfect for handwritten notes, sweets, little gifts, or washi tape. They are the perfect addition to larger presents. And they can be used as standalone presents too. Moreover, the boxes can be used as an advent calendar.
I added a variety of stickers, puffy stickers, and thicker stickers to the front of each box. In addition, I used some strings from the Tag Kit and wrapped them around two of the boxes.
What to put inside the boxes
The boxes have the perfect size for sweets, washi tape, cute little notes in envelopes, and small embellishments like stars or clips from the Merry Days Collection.
The boxes can also be used as an advent calendar. And created with the pretty papers from Merry Days, the boxes are a wonderful eye-catcher on your table or side-board.
I hope you like my gift boxes inspiration with Merry Days. Have fun using the Merry Days Collection to create awesome Christmas projects this year.
Yours, Sandra

Hey everyone! Its Bea here today sharing my first project with the gorgeous Merry Days collection. December is the most wonderful time of the year, and I love to document those cozy days in a mini album. Since December is full of programs, I used to prepare the base of the album in advance.
First, here is a video so you can see a flip through of the album base and then the basic assembly of the cover and the pages:
This year I chose a traditional form for my album. The size of the cover is 6.50”x8.50” which I built using chipboard paper and fabric. I decorated the front with journaling card and placed beautiful gold spine branch stickers behind. I placed the cute red car from the cardstock sticker sheet to the wreath and also added the red star decorative clip. I love the hanging stars in this collection, and can’t resist stitching a smaller one to the spine of the album with a red paper label. Just perfect!
I created a vellum pocket to the inner cover. I printed a ‘December Photo a Day’ list and placed the list into the pocket with some tags. It will be a helpful reminder to document all the important details of the season.
To attach the pages to the spine, I use the hidden hinges technique. I divided the hinges into two part, and attach two 4”x6” pages to both of them. I enjoy so much decorating this paper size, and I have enough pages to document even every day in December!
To add more pages and interest to the album, I attach additional pages to the basic page. To do this I used various materials like vellum, tulle, and papers.
I like writing long-long stories about my children, so I created pockets from the base pages – I adhered only three edges and left the top open - and put journaling cards inside. I trimmed the Stockings cut apart sheet into pieces and attached the date to the journaling cards using a sampler.
Merry Days collection has many gorgeous and festive ephemera pieces which are perfect for adding to the album as a tiny extra page. I used a piece of cardstock to attach a gold glittered card, isn’t it just so pretty?
I like the fact the whole album is very interactive and possibilities are endless if I want to expand it! I can attach more additional pages, adhere envelopes, die-cuts, shaker cards, etc. to the base. I can decorate the pages with stitching, add sequences, or heat embossing. Photos can be added not only to the pages, but even to the journaling cards or I just put them into the pockets if I don’t want to display all of them.
Thanks for stopping by today, I can’t wait to show you my finished album at the end of December! I hope you’re inspired to create your own December Days album this Christmas!
Hello Crate Paper friends!! December is almost here! I am super excited to start documenting our December! Merry Days is so whimsical and pretty and perfect for all your December memories! Last year during December I found that I could have used a spot to jot memories down or make notes about what I wanted to do. So this year I decided to make a traveler's notebook insert just for that purpose!
I decided on the gorgeous red Frosty Day paper with teeny white polka dots for my cover. I love bright pops of red at Christmas! I gathered eight sheets of printer paper (I use HP premium paper for my traveler's notebook for a smooth writing surface) I cut down all my papers to 8.5 x 8.5 - standard TN's are 8.25 in height, but I just use the paper as is for ease! You might want to trim your cover just a tiny bit wider than your inside papers; it's just personal preference, you could make a notebook any size that is convenient for you!
Fold all your papers in half and bind your notebook. I made three holes in my spine with an awl and used waxed thread to stitch my book together; you could use a ribbon, string or an elastic band over the spine. Once your notebook is all put together, it's time for the fun part! Decorating your cover! I started with a gold card from the Tag kit; I layered a white doily a tag and a quote card on top.
I love the sweet gal with her gift and thought she would be great on a planning notebook; I used some foam adhesive to pop her up on the side. To finish off the front cover, I added some gold stars and the Holiday word from the Joyous Thickers and used the black alpha for the word plans!
My notebook is all ready for the details. It is super quick and easy to put one together. You could always add it to your December album as a keepsake too!

Hello! Enza here to share a fun 2-in-1 decorative piece for Thanksgiving dinner. Whenever I host a holiday dinner, I like to make it a bit fancier by decorating the table with a unique centerpiece and other pretty additions I wouldn't normally use. I know that finding the time to make things during the holidays can be challenging, so I figured easy paper pockets to fill with a few goodies would be the way to go. This year I have decided to create place cards that also serve as party favors.
The only things you need to make the pockets are: 6x8 Paper Pads, a score board (I used the Mini Score Board by We R Memory Keepers), double-sided tape, and embellishments.
I started by scoring the patterned paper at 2” and 2.5” horizontally, and 3/4” vertically; I used the scoring knife to fold down the sides, which I then adhered with double-sided tape, but not before adding washi tape at the opening of the pocket to embellish it a little.
I used patterned paper from both Willow Lane and Hooray!, trying to pick colors that would coordinate with my décor. I love the different textures die cuts, puffy stickers and foam elements bring to the pockets. Each pocket features sentiments from the Maggie Holmes #Sticker Book, as well as the gold alpha stickers from the Flourish collection.
Whenever I create clusters of elements, I make sure to combine patterns and solid colors for a cleaner look. I usually pick a main embellishment and work around it, adding other pieces that complement either the colors or the patterns, or both.
I love how fast these party favors/place cards came together, and how they turned out. I'm sure they'll add a special touch to our Thanksgiving dinner.
Have a lovely day!

Hello friends! As we are heading towards Thanksgiving this week, it is perfect to take some time to count our blessings and be thankful for everything that is around us! When I was given the assignment for “gratitude list”, it really got me thinking of what I could possibly create. After much thought, I decided to jot down my list on the Studio Journal collection. I just love the warm Autumn colors on this one. Just perfect to reflect all the great blessings that come my way!
Over the years, I have been blessed with overflowing blessings, beautiful things in life and crossed paths with many amazing people in my life. And I really love the idea of coming out with 5 things that I'm thankful for in summary. I wanted to keep the list simple but also jotting them in a very fun way!
Just before I begin, I chose photos that really spoke alot to me. I carefully chose photos that matched too so they all look cohesive and not too busy when stuck down together. Next, I just positioned them across the page. Then, I continued to add layers below each photo. And as I kept adding, I stuck them down. I really loved that I could keep adding fun stickers and ephemera pieces as I went along. Can you tell I was having lots of fun creating them?
Finally, I completed my page with number Thickers. I love that! Adding the word sentiments really complete these pages too. I just loved the overall look. Just so much fun putting this list down in a journal. What a precious project, I'm so grateful!
Hi Crate Paper fans! Its Bea here today sharing fun ideas to decorate and organize the incredibly stunning Journal Studio notebooks. I couldn’t be more excited about this new release by Crate Paper! I love to record our everyday adventures or write list of my plans, and goals! I enjoy so much this method of documenting and capturing the goodness in life, and the unique supplies make the process easy and fun!
This time I decided to write a short ‘Fall Bucket List’ to be sure we don’t skip anything we love about this beautiful season. I started my layout with adding two pattern paper pieces to the corner of the pages. Due to the well-coordinated color scheme, it is pretty easy to find matching papers from other Crate Paper collections. I chose patterned paper from the Willow Lane collection, trimmed into 2 triangle pieces and adhered them to the page with double-sided tape. I also added washi tape to feature the diagonal edges.
Next I added a current photo of us to the page. I wanted to keep the main focus on the photo, so I printed it doubly and adhered them next to each other. I adhered a gold insta-frame ephemera piece with a blue puffy stickers to the photo on the left side.
To create the title, I mixed and matched chipboard stickers with washi tape and black alphabet stickers from the sticker book. The sticker book is my absolute favorite item from the Journal Studio collection!! It contains tons of flower stickers, labels, sentiments and tags, they are so beautiful and make it so easy to create pretty pages! I then went ahead and I added my handwritten bucket list to the pages. The one thing that helped me was to first draw lines and circles using the WRMK journal guide and then fill the lines with my list. It allowed me to keep clean and sorted my page.
One more TIP:
Keep organized your Journal Studio notebook with adding bookmark! To do that, you can adhere a folded paper to the inner side of the cover, but if you want to spice up your bookmark I encourage you to attach your bookmark with stitching! To do that, grab a WRMK Book Binding Guide and poke holes following the guide instructions.
Then stitch through the edge using colored thread. Repeated the process on a patterned paper piece. When finished, stitch the paper to the notebook cover. So easy and fun!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I could inspire you to get crafty with your Journal Studio set!

Hello Crate Paper friends! I have to tell you I was so excited when Journal Studio arrived at my house! The colors are gorgeous, and the collection comes with everything you need to make pages in a traveler's notebook style! The cover is soft and sturdy and the notebooks have various page types in them: grid, ruled, blank and dots. The ephemera is sized perfectly to fit the books and has so many unique items included!
I chose to start with one of the dot paper inserts, it gives you some light guides for placement and helps with the blank page fear of starting! I printed two 3x3 photos of my creative space and decided to do a spread about my "happy place"! I adhered the photos in opposing corners to start. I tend to work in grids in notebooks; it helps me to keep the page looking organized! I love random placement but it's not my strong point, so my go to's are grid and balance. After I decide on photo placement I choose the next largest items; in the case of this page, I chose the top left framed quote and the floral label and picked spots for those. To balance the framed quote, I added a large floral to the bottom right page. The Journal Studio sticker book comes with multiple colors of alpha's! Super handy! I added Happy Place to the floral label.
Next, I moved onto "mid" sized items. I added the coral washi tape, the best label, two flower stickers and two stamps from the Good Vibes stamp set. At this point, I generally like to add journaling. Over the years I have taken to filling up notebook pages with journaling in the spots leftover, I will write sideways if it fits better! Today I wrote all about my Happy Place, the journaling is about 2-3 different things about my space and being creative. I find I can tell multiple small stories because the page is broken up with photos and die cuts.
After journaling, I went through the sticker book and added "the smalls" there are little spots left that are the perfect spot for little hearts, word strips and tiny florals. It's a great time to balance out the colors of your spread and finish it off!
Thanks so much for joining me today! Be sure to have a look at Journal Studio; the inserts are wonderful for memory keeping, journaling, and planning, the sky is the limit!

Hi! It's me, Sandra. And I want to invite you to join me on my latest travel adventure with Journal Studio. Recently I went on a trip to the amazing and vibrant city of Copenhagen in Denmark. The new Journal Studio Collection got here just right in time before I headed towards Denmark's capital. Journal Studio was just perfect for documenting my travel adventure. Come join me today for some photos and also some tips on how to use Journal Studio on the go.
The journal with the pretty floral design comes with notebooks. The notebooks are the perfect size for documenting a city trip or any other travel adventure. I took the journal, one of the notebooks, a pretty pouch, ephemera, the sticker book and the washi tape with me on my trip to Copenhagen. The journal has two pockets inside - one at the front and one at the back. This is perfect if you want to keep maps, receipts or tickets.
I took a pocket printer with me and printed my photos on the go. In the evenings, we gathered in the lobby of our hostel. I printed the photos I had taken during the day and added journaling and decoration on each page.
The washi tape was really awesome to decorate the pages. I particularly liked the washi tape with the stripes and also the floral patterns. I used the washi tape to frame some of the photos. I also made a frame for the journaling on one page.
Tips for documenting your travel adventure
Here are some tips for you how to use Studio Journal.
Mix photos, handwritten journaling, stickers and washi tape on each page
Draw boxes around your journaling with a pen
Place a chipboard frame on a photo to emphasize a place you went to
Use an ephemera checklist to write down what you did on a particular day
Add some washi tape accents
Use floral ephemera to make your pages look pretty
Write down three things you like most about the city or place you went to
Add some pages with a clean style: combine a photo and write down only a few keywords to remember the places you went to
Store maps, tickets and receipts in the pouch to keep them safe
Have fun documenting places you went to, things you did, things you liked, things you learned, your favorite food, and any other things that are worth remembering

Hello CP friends! Enza here, and today I'm back to share a fall home décor piece with you. When I first started paper crafting, the one thing I couldn't get enough of was creating decorations for my home; from framed art to wreaths, garlands, party favors, and in general anything that would add a personalized touch to my space. It's always been a big passion of mine, and I still enjoy it very much.
Here is a simple project that requires just a bit of time and some pretty papers, like the ones in the Flourish and Willow Lane collections.
I started with a metal maple leaf frame, that I found in the floral section of my local craft store; I traced the perimeter of the frame on patterned paper and fussy cut it, as I needed a background to glue my cluster of embellishments on. Since the whole leaf wouldn't fit on a 12x12 paper, I used two to cut each half, trying to match the design as much as I could.
I used hot glue to adhere the paper to the metal, but also added hand-stitching to keep the paper in place and avoid any possible shifting.
Next, I cut maple leaves from patterned paper using my Cameo, varying the size to create a more “natural” look. I also scored each leaf in the middle to make it easy to fold.
I did the same with the flowers, for which I used a cut file. If you don't have a die cutting machine, you can simply cut strips of patterned paper measuring 1.5x12” and fringe one side before rolling and gluing them in place.
Once I had all my pieces ready, I created a big cluster of leaves on one side of the maple leaf and hot-glued the flowers in the center of it. I also added the beautiful Decorative Trim from the Flourish collection underneath the leaves for a bit of shine, and as a finishing touch, I wrapped natural twine around the stem.
Thank you for stopping by today. I had fun putting this home décor piece together. What do you think? Would you give it a try?
