Hello, Crate Paper fans! It’s Bea here today. I love getting together with friends and family each year when the seasons are changing and enjoy decorating my home for the occasion. Greet your guests this autumn with a fancy banner decoration hanging on your front door.
To create this banner, I grabbed patterned papers from the lovely Willow Lane collection, and cut out a banner shape. Then I mixed and matched the Cheerful and the Picnic alphabet stickers to add the ‘Happy fall y’ all’ sentiment. I machine stitched the stickers to the background because I wanted to be sure that they didn’t fall down from the banner. Next, I chose a grey fabric, cut out two hangers and a banner shape and stitched them to the back of my paper banner. I also added a pom-pom ribbon to the bottom.
For embellishing, I adhered a girl from the sticker sheet. She looks like a picnicker who collects colorful autumn-leaves into her basket. I also cut colorful leaves from patterned paper using my die cut machine. I added gold stitching and arranged them under the girl’s feet.
I just love the pretty thread bows in this collection. They have perfect colors for a fall themed project. I used a paper straw and bakers twine for holding my banner, and I tied three bows to the left side of the twine. The final step was to create a little cluster to the top right of the banner using stickers and die cut leaf.
I love the way it turned out! I hope I could inspire you to create fall decoration using your scrapbooking supplies! Thank you for stopping by!

Hi! It's me Sandra here on the Crate Paper Blog today. Get ready for a new DIY project. Let's welcome Fall with a decorative handmade paper wreath. Grab your favorite patterned papers from the Willow Lane Collection and make beautiful blossoms and delicate leaves. And arrange these to create a pretty decorative wreath.
The base of the wreath is a paper ring that I cut with my cutting machine. For the petals and leaves, I used beautiful patterned papers from the Willow Lane Collection and pre-made cutfiles. I made three large blossoms and two smaller ones.
If you don't have a cutting machine, you can cut the petals by hand. You can find templates on the Internet. Just search for 'petal template' or 'flower petals template'. Download the templates and start making blossoms as you like them. In addition, cut a variety of leaves. My tip is to cut a lot of different leaves to have enough at hand to decorate the wreath.
Last but not least, I used foam pads, liquid glue and a stapler to attach the blossoms and leaves onto the paper ring. Make sure that the stapler clams are not visible.
I hope you like my Fall craft inspiration. Have fun creating with the Willow Lane Collection. Yours, Sandra

Hello! Happy Fall! Autumn is one of my favorite seasons! I love it when the temperatures get cooler and the changing colors get me every time! Willow Lane has such warm pretty colors, it was perfect for my fall photo!
I knew for sure I wanted to die cut some leaves from the papers in Willow Lane. I chose the pretty greens, and deep navy in the Willow paper and the tiny leaf pattern was a special bonus! I also used the Meadow and Frolic paper to die cut leaves for all the fall colors!
The Together paper is stunning!! It seems like it was made for Autumn layouts with the gorgeous gold hand sketched florals and leaves. I chose it for my background and love how it looks! I chose a photo I had taken a couple of years ago at my Dad's farm. The horses were quite curious about what we were up to! It was a typical Canadian chilly, rainy fall day and the colors of the trees and crop with the horses was too beautiful to miss taking a photo of!
My layout came together quite easily. I settled on the large pink chipboard rose as my focal point and scattered my leaves in a diagonal from the rose. To anchor the photo and scattered leaves, I found the hello tag in the buttery yellow color and one of the sweet tags from the Journaling Ephemera pack. I added the Happy Little Moments paper from the Melody paper on top of the tag pocket. I couldn't believe my luck when I found the red label in the ephemera pack, and it was the perfect spot for a small title using the green alpha from the Alpha Sticker Pack, the cute little fox puffy sticker was the perfect finishing touch for the label!
Once I had the bigger items all adhered I looked through the collection again and found the florals and leaves in the Waterfall Sticker book that were perfect to tuck into the larger florals. I adhered the leaves just at the tip so they would stay dimensional and added a pop dot to the center of the sticker flowers. A gold chipboard heart and leaf sprig was the perfect finishing touch for the layout!!
Thank you for stopping by today!

Hello CP friends! It’s so good to be back to share with you these projects. My projects are featuring the use of chipboard stickers - a layout & a door signage. I chose to work with chipboard stickers because I love layering and enjoy having fun textures on my projects. The dimension on the chipboard stickers were just right too!
When I was searching through some of the wood products that I have, I saw this wood signage and thought it would be fun to create a room door signage for my girls. It was really easy to alter this signage. After measuring the signage, I used a patterned paper as my background. All I did next was to layer everything with chipboard stickers. I didn’t really have a specific design in mind but just went with the flow as I started to lay the stickers from left to right.
I really love the thickness of the chipboard stickers! Just perfect.
Whatever left on the sheet of 12x12 chipboard stickers, I went on with working on the next project. I chose to do a scrapbook layout. This layout was pretty straightforward where I placed all the "boxes" from the top to the bottom as I went. I filled out the boxes with more fun stickers to fill the gaps. I really love layering all these stickers together. If this layout were to be place in a shadow box, it'd be perfect!
This layout was created with some thoughts. I met my friend, Junie in a gardening group and she has a colourful garden. I always called it as rainbow garden hence the unicorn is included. All those floral & foliages are just nice addition to add in relation of our plant addition. Haha. Just loved how everything was falling nicely in place!
I really had so much fun creating these 2 projects.
Thanks for coming by and letting me share today!
Xoxo Jessy

Hello, CP friends! Enza here, and today I'm sharing two different ways to use the Willow Lane Frames. I love the versatility of the Crate Paper products, and this one is especially fun to work with.
The first project is a home décor piece that worked perfectly for my daughters' room. I used the frames to create a ribbon hanging photo holder.
I started by measuring the diameter of the frames and cutting the photos accordingly. I happened to have a punch that was the right size, but you can use scissors as well. It doesn't have to be a perfect circle, as the edges will be covered by the frame; it's just a personal preference, I guess. One thing to keep in mind is to use a strong double-sided adhesive, such as Super Sticky Red Tape by American Crafts, to adhere your pieces down. It really makes a difference, especially when you're working with products that are not just paper.
Next, I chose the sentiment for the middle frame from the Ephemera Pack, and started decorating with various embellishments. I like adding dimensional elements to my projects, so that's what I did here. I think it makes the frames pop more.
To adhere the frames to the ribbon, I again used double-sided adhesive. I folded the ribbon in half to create a hanging hoop at the top, and spaced the frames to about a half an inch from each other.
I love how it turned out!
The second project is a shaker tag. I love shakers and I love tags, so this was just the perfect combination for me. Here is what you'll need:
I started by backing both frames with a piece of acetate to form the window. Next, I adhered foam to the back of one of the frames – I used a circular die to get an even piece.
I trimmed an embossed card from the Ephemera Pack to size, and glued it to the foam, but not before filling up the window with colorful sequins.
I adhered the ribbon on the top with hot glue, backed the second frame with patterned paper, and attached the two together to form the tag. At this point it was just a matter of adding a few finishing touches, and sentiments.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope my projects have inspired you to use the Willow Lane Frames in a fun and easy way!

Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra back on the Crate Paper blog. In today's post I want to show you how can you get the most out of your gorgeous scrapbook papers and use them many ways. I created a 12x12 scrapbook page with Maggie Holmes – Willow Lane collection because it has many awesome patterned papers. Traditionally we use the papers for background or we cut scraps and create a base or layer them on each other. But why not to cut out the fun design elements from the papers and use them as embellishments?
I used the lovely rose Bright Days Paper as background in a traditional way and fussy cut birds from Sparrow Paper and sentiments from Spread Love Paper. After I placed my 4x4 photo, I arrange the birds around the background and added to each a black ribbon with a message, just like they would carry them in the beak. I decorated on the left of the photo with Chipboard and Cardstock Sticker flowers and leaves. I also added a cute cuckoo-clock from Wonderful Thickers sheet what I decorated with Puffy Stickers. The title is made with my favorite colorful Cheerful Thickers. It's so easy to create a pretty cluster with Willow Lane collection!
I decorated some of the birds with matching Puffy Sticker hearts. Above some of the black ribbon I added clear stickers to have more details on my layout. In the end, I draw curlicues with pencil behind the birds, poke holes over it and hand stitched them with matching threads. They cheer up my page and only took some extra minutes to make them.
I hope you like my new page and will inspire you to use your gorgeous Crate Paper patterned papers in a different way. Think creative and try to use them next time in a new way. Thanks for checking my post today! Flóra

Hi, Crate Paper fans, its Bea here with you today. I was pretty excited when I found out that I was assigned for this week’s theme – special skills! I instantly knew that my project will be something colorful, practical but totally unusual! What I love the most about scrapbooking is that I can always challenge my creativity and try to find new ways to use the beautiful papers and embellishments!
This time I decided to create an organizer with a lot of paper pockets and clips. I love the fact that I can store my tiny lists and papers in the pockets but this organizer is a pretty decoration on my wall also.
To start, I grabbed a wood frame and chose patterned paper for my background. Then I cut three paper pockets using several papers from the 6x8 paper pad. To add more texture I decided to do a chain link stitch on the top of the pockets. I machine stitched the pockets to the background and embellished them with stickers. I also added a beautiful sequins flower to the top.
On the top left, I adhered two wood clips to the background paper. They are perfect for holding notes or to do lists, bookmarks.
Finally, I cut two pieces from the decorative trim and stitched them to the background. I placed tags, notes and a pen behind them.
I hope this gives some fun ideas to try with your scrapbooking stash! It’s so much fun creating your own organizer! Give it a go next time! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful scrappy weekend!

Hello Crate Paper friends!! Lorilei here today sharing a layout featuring a technique I love to do: Mixed Media! I almost always include some kind of paint on a layout, and for this page, I got out my Vicki Boutin Mixed Media goodies!
I started out by using Vicki Boutin Gesso and covered my entire 12x12 white cardstock. Once that was dry I scraped Vicki Boutin paint in the Daquiri Ice color in the center of the page. Since I was going to mix pinks and teals I let the teal dry completely and then mixed cotton candy with a bit of water and added it to the page with the package technique. I made sure to let some of the puddles drip down the page, again I let the background dry and for the last layer I added Vicki Boutin Iridescent Glaze through a stencil.
I was ready to embellish the background now using the gorgeous Willow Lane Collection by Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper. I chose die cuts with coordinating colors to the mixed media and followed the design the paint and drips had made. The pink paint had dripped and puddled at the bottom of the page, so I just made a point of embellishing it with a cute chipboard bow, puffy heart, and a clear sticker!
I decided to expand on the black details in the be kind tag and added two foam banners on the page, one on the bunny die cut and another under my photo. The black creates a visual triangle and incorporates the clear sticker in the bottom cluster. In my opinion, it keeps the page from looking too "precious" with the soft paint colors!
I added sparkly gold hearts in three areas on the page; I love that they bring in some glitter and shine and add a fun element to the layout! If you have never tried mixed media on a layout, I encourage you to give it a try! Begin by choosing coordinating colors for your embellishments. It keeps a page calmer in feel and a cohesive look!
