Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here today. I am sharing two thank you cards this time. I decided to use monochromatic color palette. I chose beautiful blue and pinkish peach from Maggie Holmes – Flourish collection. First, I went through all of the papers and embellishments and gathered all the matching elements for my color palette. After, I trimmed A2 sizes paper pieces from Home Sweet Home and Hummingbird Paper. I used them as backgrounds for my handmade cards.
First, I created the pinkish cards. I layered scraps from Die Cut pack and added ephemera, a Chipoard house, puffy hearts and a fussy cut bug with foam tape. On the bottom I adhered the title: thanks, using the lovely gold Maggie Holmes – Carousel Happy Alpha Thickers. In the end, I added some matching enamel dots from my stash.
For the second card I used Home Sweet Home Paper which has a simple stripped pattern. I layered blue Die Cuts, Stickers and Chipboard pieces on each other. As the elements have rose gold foil on, I decided to use Maggie Holmes – Flourish Memo Alpha Thickers to create the title on the bottom. To finish off my card I scattered blue enamel dots around. I trimmed a card base from white cardstock and added the card fronts on top.
I really enjoy making monochromatic cards and layouts. The result is always stunning and eye catching. This technique allows you to add tons of emebllishments but keeps your project clean at the same time. I hope you will it try out! Thanks for stopping by! Flóra
