4th of July: Festive Party Invitations

Hello Crate Paper Friends! Lorilei here today sharing two July 4th Party Invitation ideas! It was a fun challenge to create party invitations for July 4th from my current Crate Paper collections. I had to get creative and figure out how to use the colors I had to get a good representation of an iconic American celebration! I decided on flags as the main theme of my invitations. I felt like I could be creative but still have something recognizable! I started out the first invitation with a big tag! The dimensions of the tag are 5 1/2" wide by 8" high.

I started out by preparing a piece of white cardstock to cut into a banner "flag" shape. I added think pink strips from the Good Vibes Flourish paper and then added a smaller banner with white on top. I punched out stars from the Good Vibes Passion paper. I bent about 1/4" of the flag around a cut-down skewer for the flag pole.

To embellish the front of the invite I added two different alphas and layered the cork stars from the Good Vibes Ephemera Pak with Gold star stickers. Some ribbons and twine in the tag hole finished it off!

The back of the first invitation is all about the fun Ice Cream party! I have been wanting to use the Ice Cream truck from Good Vibes for a long time and this seemed like the perfect opportunity!! I added more gold glittery alphas and sprinkles of embellishments from the chipboard set.

For my second invitation, I decided on a 4x6 folding card for my base. I created a flag for the background using a blue and pink paper from the Flourish collection. I punched little stars from the Aviary paper to decorate the blue rectangle on the background. The flag would look spectacular on its own but since I love layers I decided to jazz it up even more!

I used the blue tag from the Flourish Ephemera pak and the white rosette from the Standouts pak. I decided to layer stars in the papers I used for the flag on top of the rosette. A pretty gold glitter title and a word sticker and a typed sentiment finished it off perfectly!
