Father's Day is this weekend! It's a perfect time to honour that special man in our lives. And for that, I chose to honor my husband. He is such a great dad or dada (that's what my darling daughters calls him). They absolutely adore him! He will do anything just to make us feel comfortable. He is meant to be a dad. And what better way to create a layout to celebrate this special day!
This layout is pretty much inspired by my house. I really love plants and my house theme is white. And with that in mind, I wanted to create a clean line layout. This layout consisted lots of layering with ephemera die-cuts & stickers all around the photos. Before adhering all the elements together, I decided to give more texture by stamping the green foliages at each corner. I went with oil pastel rather than using all ink. Just rubbing the oil pastel onto the clear stamp & by using a brush pen filled with water to wet the stamp, will certainly give you the watercolor effect. I truly loved how it turned out, subtle but yet pretty.
Phrase stickers are great addition to your layout. It helped to fill up the gaps & spaces. They sure give more character to your layout!
Isn't it lovely to have many different texture and dimension place together? I absolutely loved them!
I seriously love the combo of crisp white with all the beautiful leaves die-cuts around the photos. What a cozy feeling!
Happy Father's day! Thanks again for swinging by!
Xoxo Jessy
