Once in a while when we have some days off from school and work, I like to go to Berlin with my son. Most of the time we spend three or four days in this city that we love. And over the years we've found a nice routine of things that we do together: sightseeing, going out for meals, going on walks or just relaxing at my sister's apartment and watching movies all night long. Today I would like to share two mini albums that hold memories of your most recent trip to the city of Berlin in April this year.
Let's start with the larger mini album. I went for a 4x9 inches design for this mini album. And I used a bookbinding tool and golden binding wires for the binding. The cover is made from a thicker sheet of crafter's plastic. I combined it with the backside of the Electric paper from the Wild Heart Collection. I just love the color combination on this paper.
Basically, I've used patterned papers and embellishments from the Wild Heart Collection in combination with white cardstock to make this mini album.
The mini album is a mixture of pages with photos and just plain decorated pages without any photos. My favorite items that I used to decorate the mini are the ephemera cardstock die-cuts from Wild Heart in combination with patterned papers and stickers.
I also used the complete set of clear stamps on one page of the mini album. And I added some stitching to frame this page of the album.
On the next page of the mini album I sewed the word FUN onto a journaling card with my sewing machine. It's a nice effect to have stitched details on the pages of the mini album.
For the next page I used acetate and vellum and sewed these together with my sewing machine. Between the acetate and the vellum I added a photo, word stickers and lots of confetti. It turned out as a fun shaker mini album page.
On the final page of the large mini album, I used white cardstock and some patterned paper strips. And I did some free-style weaving going above and under the slits with the paper strips. Tipp: I used a cutting knife to make the slits.
In addition to the large mini album, there is also a smaller accordion fold album.
To make the smaller mini album, I used the Wildly Paper from Wild Heart. I cut the top row of journaling cards and then just folded the paper to make the accordion.
Last but not least, to finish off the mini album, I used different embellishments from Wild Heart alongside with some photos to remember our trip to Berlin.
I hope you like my mini album inspiration. Thank you for your time and interest :).
Have a good day!
