Create a Custom Notebook

You can purchase paper notebooks in all different sizes and with the most beautiful covers from stationery shops. However, I was in the mood to make and decorate a very personal paper notebook myself. And I would like to inspire you today to create a paper notebook too. You can use it to keep photos and little notes, to write down your favorite quotes or to jot down personal goals you would like to achieve.

Let's take a closer look at the paper notebook. I used embellishments from different Crate Paper Collections. For the cover, I used a clear plastic sheet from my stash and attached a sticker garland, thickers and some bakers twine for decoration. On the paper underneath, I added stitched details and a handmade ruffled crepe paper border at the top.

Making the decorated notebook is really effortless.

• Cut white cardstock to the desired size (for instance 4 x 6 inches).
• Punch holes on the left side with a hole punch (for instance Crop-A-Dile).
• Bind the pages with (pink) ring binders.

• Decorate the pages with your favorite embellishments from Crate Paper.
• Add a see-through windows with sequins inside and stickers outside. You can use a steel ruler and a cutter knife to cut the window by hand. Or you could use a frame die to cut the window.

• Add some quotes, notes and goals you want to achieve. You can even make little pockets that hold secret notes.

• Add your favourite photos (for instance sized 4 x 6 inches to fill an entire page).
• Done.
