A Pretty Summer Duo with Carousel

Hi Crate Paper fans, it's Gina here. I created a couple of fun summer cards using the new Maggie Holmes Carousel collection. This collection is perfect for Summer and all sorts of everyday celebrations.

To start off I created my first Summer card using the Dazzle paper as my background. I love the bright colorful chevrons on this card so much and felt that the colors were perfect for Summer activities and events. I kept the card pretty simple. I added a couple of chipboard kite pieces to the left side of my card. 

Next, I created my title using gold Thickers and ephemera on the bottom right hand side of  my card. I added a gold star sequin piece (from the awesome ephemera pack), a couple of gold chipboard stars and a fabric bow.  I finished off my card by adding some crepe paper trim (from my own stash) to the right side.

 

For my second card, I started out by adhering Sprinkles paper (yellow and pink striped paper) to the front of my card base.  Next, I tore off a few tickets from the die-cut perforated gold foiled sheet. I love these cute tickets, you can tear them off one at a time or in strips for lots of projects. 

I adhered two small strips of tickets to the right side of my card and added a fabric bow and gold heart (ephemera) piece. On the left side of my card I added some pieces from the ephemera pack clear foil stickers.
