Create 4th of July Rosettes

Hi Everyone! It's Gina Lideros here to share a fun patriotic table display with you. This paper rosette display is super easy to make and is sure to be a hit at your next Fourth of July get together!

I love making paper rosettes, they are cute, simple to make and great for so many occasions! I had this idea to make a patriotic table display using several handmade paper rosettes and cute paper straws. All that you need to make your own is patterned paper, double sided tape, scissors and a hot glue gun.  

First, I started by taking my coordinating paper and folded it accordion style (make sure to do this lengthwise). Next I folded each paper in half and applied double sided tape along the inside of the fold and then pressed the two sides together.

Your paper will look like a fan when you open it back up.  Do the same steps with all of your papers to create several fans.  I chose different patterned papers all with a red, blue or white theme.  Next, I used a mini hot glue gun to adhere circle punches and mini rosettes to the front of my rosette.  I love using vintage book pages for this.  I always keep a stack of book pages in my scrap room because they coordinate with everything!

To embellish each rosette I added netting (from my stash), punched stars, chipboard shapes and thickers.  After my rosettes were finished I wanted to display them in a vase to use them as a tablescape. You can use bamboo skewers to do this, but I thought that metallic straws would be cuter.  So, I used my mini hot glue gun to adhere a straw to the back of each finished rosette.
