One of my favourite go-to tool is my faithful precision scissors. I have always love cutting since a young girl and so glad that I'm still pretty passionate about cutting till this day. Lol. For some reason, it is very therapeutic to me when I sit and cut though it is only for a short while. When I got to know that I'm assigned for the "fussy cutting" week, I was smiling wide and knew it is something I truly enjoy! I really love this floral patterned paper in the Oasis collection and that sparked the idea of creating a layout with pretty flowers and elements. Perfect for my little cutie.
Let me share with you the creative process...
First, I cut out all the floral that I wanted to adhere on the background paper. For this layout, it was pretty straightforward. Floral for each corner and in the middle section, diagonally. Then, I proceeded with adhering the photo and slowly worked my way around by adhering chipboard stickers. Adding paper doilies added classy + feminine look to the layout.
For this layout, I used different collections that could match with the entire layout. I absolutely loved the end result. And this is what I love most about Crate Paper products, most of the collections matched! No matter what theme or look you are going for, there are elements that you can mix + match :)
To create dimensions to the floral paper adhered foam dots at the bottom.
By layering smaller flowers onto the bigger ones will create a fuller look.
I really love the acetate ephemera shapes; they gave interesting texture to the layout. Most importantly they are so cute as an extra element!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will try fussy cutting on your projects. Have a great crafting day :)
