I'm sure as a paper crafter you have used pieces of ephemera showing cakes, candles, flowers, numbers, balloons or even photos on your birthday invitation cards. These are common elements used for birthday invitations. You will find one of these elements on today's cards in combination with matching foam sticker titles. On the first card 'invited', I created a flower as a decorative element. I cut eight petals and adhered each petal to a matching neutral background paper with double-sided foam pads. Then a smaller flower was added on top of the petals as well as two die-cut leaves on the left side of the card.
I thought that 'come as you are' is a catchy phrase to be used on a birthday invitation card. I used a nice floral paper for the background of the card and added a butterfly die-cut sticker and two smaller stickers as decorative elements. You can also find two gold sequins and a small part of a doily on the left side of the card as little details.
The idea to use the title 'Let's hang out' to invite someone to a birthday party came when I looked at the chipboard sticker with the bird on the swing. Isn't that a cute sticker? I think the sticker and the title are a great match. To decorate the card, I added some lovely embellishments, a button, some sequins and two word stickers.
It would make me happy if you used one or two of the ideas shown in today's post on your next birthday invitation cards. Have a wonderful day, Sandra.
