Hi it's Gina! Today I am going to share with you a fun home décor project that I created, using the gorgeous “Heart Day” collection. Every year for Valentine's Day I like to make cute DIY décor for my home. I am in love with all the pieces from the “Heart Day” collection, so I couldn't wait to get started with this project.
I found this heart pallet frame at Target in the dollar spot section. It was red, so I decided to paint it white using acrylic paint. After it dried, I carefully chose a variety of chipboard pieces, stickers, and die cuts to use.
I started with the chipboard frame, I measured the dimensions of the inside of the frame so that I would know what size to print my photo. Next, I placed my frame with a small black and white photo onto the heart pallet, and then built my design around it.
How cute is that succulent chipboard piece? I had so much fun adding it to my frame. I used foam adhesive dots to pop up the “xoxo” chipboard heart. Then I added a few die cuts and stickers. I placed a small strip of washi tape under my photo and finished off my project by adding a wood button and enamel heart.
I hope that you have a very Happy Valentine's day and are inspired to create easy DIY décor for your home.
