Chasing Dreams Cards

Hi everyone, today I am sharing 2 cards with the magnificent collection CHASING DREAMS by Maggie Holmes. This collection is a real treat for the eyes. I find it wonderful and it will be perfect for our spring creations.

 

 

I chose to make these 2 cards in the 6 * 4 format with the opening down. I cut my templates from smooth white cardstock. I think this is the best base for making cards. I already have a real favorite paper...MONARCH with the pretty butterflies. I wanted to cut out and create a 3D effect on one of the cards.

 

 

On the first card with the butterflies, I started by pasting a pink background while still showing the white background of the card. I then added black and white paper using 3D foam to cover it with a last piece of colored paper. Before sticking this last piece of paper I added a line of sewing on the top. I placed the stickers "DREAMS ARE FOR CHASING" and I added 2 butterflies with 3 stitches in the middle to secure them well so as to leave the wings free to raise them a little. Once all these steps were completed I fixed the set with 3D foam.

 

 

On the second card I made a mosaic with 4 pieces of printed paper that I pasted on another paper before fixing it on the card. I wanted to first create a frame for the sewing machine. I added the word HELLO from the ephemera pack that I also attached with small squares of 3D foam.
