Hi everyone Karen here with you today to share something quite different that I created with scrapbooking paper, using the funky ‘Cool Kid’ collection from Crate Paper, I created a banner for my daughters upcoming birthday party. Ruby is not into pink & frills, she’s too cool for all that girly stuff (her words not mine).
Firstly I cut out a triangle template & then choose some of the cool patterned 12x12 paper to trace. I cut out roughly 15 triangles. Then I used my ‘We are Memory Keepers’ Alphabet Punch Board to cut out ‘P A R T Y’ to use on the triangles. This was so much fun.
I love using my sewing machine to make banners so it was really easy to run these triangles through and leave extra cotton at the beginning & end to tie it to a hook. If you don’t have a sewing machine, you could simple use those cute little clothes pegs & clip them to a piece of twine or string.
I loved the way these turned out. I decorated each triangle differently with a mix of Ephemera pieces and alpha stickers etc.
Creating your own party decorations has never been easier & Crate Paper has made it even easier with all their cute & awesome papers. Get inspired by this blog & Pinterest too, there’s lots of party ideas out there.
I’m totally in love with the ‘Cool Kid’ collection & I hope I’ve inspired you to try something different with you patterned paper next time you’re creating.
Happy paper crafting, Karen.
