Creating a Hanging Print

Hi there, Karen here for Crate Paper. Have you spotted the amazing Color Reveal products that Crate Paper has recently announced? They are really clever and so easy to create at home. I had a lot of fun with this ‘Hello Love’ panel for my studio.

Begin by grabbing your watercolors, a brush & some water. You will need a clean space & maybe a placemat or plastic cover to protect your workspace. Decide on the colors you want to use, here I used three main colors from my Crate Paper Watercolor palette, pink, orange & yellow. Take the first colour and brush over the very top of the panel, using water then spread the color downwards. Change colors as often as you want, depending on the effect you want to see on the canvas/paper. A tip that helped me was to use a lot of water to obtain an ombré effect.

Keep going all the way down, adding more color then water. I love the way mine turned out. I can’t wait to give this another try. I’m loving this collection so much. Enjoy.
