Hello creative friends! Jessy back with you today and ready to share a fun & girly layout using the new Cute Girl collection by Crate Paper! I absolutely ADORE this whole collection simply because I have a toddler girl and two cats. Can you tell the Cute Girl collection is just perfect for me? In fact, I think CP secretly created it for me *haha*.
As soon as I was browsing through the papers and embellishments, I instantly knew that I had to create a layout with these photos that I snapped of my girl and her fur-brothers. I printed two of the same photo-one in color and one in black and white. This will create a very interesting look among all the cute elements.
To begin, I chose three patterned papers that I wanted to use on my layout. By layering patterned papers, it will certainly give a great look to your design. Then, I decided to tone down the colorful paper that's right in front with a piece of vellum paper so the colors won't scream for too much attention against all the colorful embellishments.
Next, I worked on the composition of my photos and the ephemera pieces. Once I'm happy with the composition, I continue to add more stickers and ephemera pieces to fill the gaps so it looks balanced. Finally, I completed the layout by stamping arrows in the background and machine stitching along the border of the layout.
Below are some close-up shots of my layout:
Layering ephemera pieces are so fun! I just can't enough of the little cute girl and the cat! Cute die-cuts are my weakness *haha*.
That cute puffy sticker is just too cute not to add to my layout! What a brilliant design!
Thank you so much for letting me share today & I can't wait to see all the beautiful projects made with the Cute Girl collection! Have a crafty week!
