Hi everyone, this is my first blog post and layout with Crate Paper, I can’t begin to describe how excited I am. I have no words.
I have so many photos of my three girls from when they were babies that its most likely impossible I would ever have enough time to scrapbook them all. Until that is I laid eyes on the gorgeous ‘Little You’ product line from Crate Paper, I can see I will have to go back through the baby photos and pull out some show stoppers that’s for sure. Today I’m sharing my sweet ‘Ruby’.
Firstly I started playing around with the 12x12 papers and the 6x6 papers, I like to combine these two sizes on my layouts, especially when working with tiny photos like these ones, which were 1.5x1.5 inches each, it gives it depth.
I started taking the embellishments & placing them with the photos & papers to see what felt right before sticking them down. This can take up a few minutes but it’s worth it. A trick I’ve been using lately to bunch up the embellishments, I don’t typically spread them out. After I was satisfied with what I saw, I then glued them down. I had other ideas to incorporate stitching later on.
Under the embellishments I added words, I liked using these thickers because they have two different sizes in the one packet, brilliant idea Crate Paper. Then I added the paint splatters to the layout.
Finishing off with tiny gold stitched triangles, the pattern of the paper ‘Little Nose’ inspired this.
I’m totally in love with ‘Little You’ and this layout of my ‘Ruby’ girl; she sure was and is a sweet baby.
Happy paper crafting!
