We have back-to-back birthdays over here and I knew that I wanted to use the large cork numbers from the Wonder collection for something!! After a bit of brainstorming, I decided to make a tag mini book to use as a gift topper for my youngest's 12th birthday. I started by gathering up a bunch of tags.
I printed out my photos and laid them out, alternating full sized and square shots. To add a little bit of variety, I cut some vellum tags, a clear overlay tag for the cover and a patterned paper tag. The 6x6 paper pads are perfect for a project like this since the pattern is small scaled.
I decided to reduce the number of tags, so I did a bit of rearranging and then started embellishing my tags with die-cuts and stickers.
To finish it off, I added a tassel and a small die-cut tag!
I perfect topper for a birthday gift!

Fall is here and there are so many beautiful, warm color combinations to enjoy this season. I've mixed and matched a few things from different Crate Paper collections and have created a project to share with you today, using one of my favorite fall color combinations.
I began with a wood hoop from the Craft Market collection along with a few die cuts from the Craft Market Ephemera package. After selecting the patterned paper I wanted to use, I cut out a circle and attached it to the back of my hoop, and then I began layering my die cuts and embellishments.
I love mixing and matching different Crate Paper Thickers and have used an assortment of these across the front of my project.
I added a few fun things from the new After Dark collection and can't wait to continue creating with it and other Crate Paper collections as fall settles in.
Thanks for your visit!

Hello and welcome to Warm Colors week on the Crate Paper blog! Fall is right around the corner and we are gearing up with some fun projects. Have you seen the new After Dark collection yet? I love all the embellishments packed in this one!
I decided to create a fall themed (not Halloween!) layout using some of the warm colored hues in the collection. Fall is my favorite time of year and last week here, it was a little cooler so we took advantage and had some soup and pumpkin spice lattes.
I incorporated shades of orange, purple black and cream into my layout. I started with a piece of the orange chevron patterned paper cut to 8.5x11, then layered a piece of plain vellum over it to tone down the pattern. Next I added my photos to a piece of striped patterned paper and adhered my title below.
The ephemera pack in the After Dark collection contains orange paper clips - how fun is that? I just love them. I added one of those to my photo collage as well as some star and wood veneer ephemera.
Here is the completed layout! I finished it off with a few label stickers beneath the title that hold my journaling. Hopefully you can get your hands on this collection soon! I can't wait to create some Halloween projects with it.
Have a great day!

Hello again! Marcy here. We're a homeschooling family, so that means we're knee deep in school prep around here. I like to slowly ease my kids back into the idea of school by setting up some activity books and drawing paper on our school table, and this year I thought I should make it a little more fun. I started with a jar full of pencils. My plan was to decorate the jar with tags and other little bits so I gathered those up.
I pulled some things from the Wonder collection that I thought would work well like the clock face and the flash card. I tried to choose a variety of sizes to help with my layering. From here on there's really no magic formula for what I ended up with. I just played around with layers always keeping size in mind.
Playing with the layers.
Once I was happy with my layers I added a piece of twine through the holes of my tag...
... and added a tassel.
And there we have it. Simple and fun.
Thanks for reading!

I love altering gift packages and such to create, over-the-top, extra special containers and that's just what I've done for you today. My projects started with popcorn boxes and all they needed was just a few items from the Craft Market collection...one of my all time favorite lines :).
I started out by cutting two tags from the Craft Market Double-Sided Glittered paper sheet. I love that they come ready to cut out and beautifully glittered. I then added a few embellishments to the bottoms of both tags. Here I've used Craft Market chipboard, a cardstock sticker, and a wood veneer shape.
Next, I selected a few sheets of different Craft Market paper to make my jumbo, die cut, paper flowers. You can use any favorite flower die, mix and match your patterns and colors, and stack those layers to create sweet blossoms. I even mixed in some of the Craft Market Polka Dot Burlap...love the texture it adds.
Here I've created another altered popcorn box using the same products. I added a bit of fluff around the top of my popcorn boxes by adhering crepe paper tissue trim.
I love stacking chipboard over cardstock stickers, and then of course over the darling glittery tags.
I used Craft Market Puffy Gold Stickers for my flower centers, stacking those as well...such fun touches. Lastly, I clipped the tags to their containers using a Craft Market Glittered Clothespin.
Happy crafting and thanks for visiting today!
