I love my craft space....it's not the most organized spot in the house, but it's where my little girl and I get creative and is centered in the heart of our home. I love being in the middle of whatever is going on, whether I'm crafting or not, so with my craft room right off of our kitchen and family room, I am near the action.
I have many of my favorite things in this special room, including vintage photos handed down to me from my great grandma, and an old sewing machine that belonged to my mom. It is nestled inside its cute, original, wooden cabinet, and is where I set my new sewing machine. My mom introduced me to being creative and always encouraged me to create, so having a piece of her in my craft room is very special to me.
I love having my supplies out in the open because I am always inspired by them, so I try to find ways of displaying them that help keep things organized and as tidy as possible :). Glass jars, wooden crates, wire baskets, metal tins, etc. all are put to use here.
I keep my favorite magazines close by as well, as I love to go back and look through them over and over again to gain inspiration...one of my most favorite things to do when I have a spare minute.
I also like to have some of my favorite creations on display, mostly because of the photos of my daughter which I include and love to look at. That's what it's all about, right? Creating joy :).
