Layers Week

We're excited to talk all about layers this week on the blog! Maria is up first with a beautiful layout.

Today, I want to talk about simple layers. Layering can be intimidating, but it can also be really easy if you keep it simple.  That's what I did for this layout.

First, I chose the photo I wanted to document.  Then, I created a grid around my photo using strips of paper and various flat embellishments. 

When my grid was laid out, I incorporated some simple layering into the grid itself.

Here, I tucked a die cut floral motif underneath my acetetate alpha. 

I also incorporated another floral sprig in the bottom corner of my grid.  I just layered it on top of a strip of paper.

And finally, I layered some clear acetate pieces over my photo.  Simple layering is so fast and easy, but it still adds a lot interest to the page!
