Hey there! Jennifer Chapin here, and today on the Crate Paper blog I am sharing a layout focusing on the fabulous acetate alphabet letters in the Confetti collection. As I was searching through my box of Crate goodies looking for inspiration, I came across these letters and thought it would be fun to use them as a big statement on a page about my daughter. They measure 2" x 3" so when blocked together, it takes up a good bit of the page.
I decided on the phrase "just be you" and arranged them on a piece of white cardstock. After deciding where to place them, I carefully added glue dots under the non-transparent areas and stuck them to the page. I added some mini staples for a little added texture.
I wanted the photos to fit in with the letter tiles, so I printed one at 4" x 3" and the other at 2" x 3" and added them to the collage. I also picked this gold vellum rose and acetate leaves from the ephemera pack to use as an accent, along with chipboard shapes from the Craft Market collection. And the puffy gold circles are from Confetti! They are so versatile and go with almost any project.
For the journaling, I used my computer and a typewriter font and cut strips that would fit just under and over the collage. I wanted it to blend in with the design of the page.
Thank you so much for stopping by the CP blog today! I hope you've enjoyed this little tutorial and that you are getting some great use out of these awesome letters as well. Have a fantastic day!
