Hi Everybody! Today I wanted to show you what I call a BUCKET LIST BOOK. I made a mini book of places I want to go in the United States with very minimal supplies. The paper for the cover is so colorful that it looks great as a stand alone. All I did to give it a little handmade touch is adhere a pennant from the Open Road collection to the cover, but you could adorn yours more if you like.

I made the outside cover with a piece of cream card stock and covered with patterned paper. I secured the edges with some bright yellow washi tape. The book measures 8" x 4.25" and I scored at the 3 7/8" and 4 1/8" mark to make the spine of the book.

To make the inside pages, take a 12" x 12" paper and score a vertical line at 4" and 8".

Then rotate your paper 90 degrees. Score at 1.5", 6", and 10.5".

Cut the paper at the 6" line. Fold the paper at the 1.5" and 10.5" line.

Accordion folder the 2 sheets in opposite ways.

Tape the 2 pieces together with washi tape or other adhesive.

To make the book pages attach to the jacket better, tape the book at the spine also. It should look like this.

I used hot glue to adhere the book pages to the spine.

I made each page more colorful by putting washi tape and embellishments on the book pocket and edges. For each page I stamped a place I wanted to go and then some journaling cards went inside so that I can write down my thoughts, staple some memorabilia to them or leave them as is!

The ephemera pack is perfect for making each pocket special and filled with trinkets even if you haven't been to your destination yet. That way the keepsake looks pretty before you even start filling it with photos or tickets of your adventures!

Some of the journaling cards have titles ready made for you! Let's escape is a perfect title for my Vermont trip. I plan on staying at a bed & breakfast there and taking a car ride in the country. I hear the trees there in the fall are just beautiful.

New York City, a place I hear have places open 24 hours so you can take full advantage of your vacation time! I will have my camera ready in case I see a celebrity in the mix of people there!

Ahhh...Washington State, good times are planned for me there. What a place to hike and bike or just have some coffee! Since the journaling cards and ephemera are different sizes and shapes, making the pockets look both vibrant and interesting was easy!

I hope you will make a mini book for YOU! We spend a lot of time scrapbooking about others, our kids, family members, pets, but I think sometimes we forget about ourselves. We are worth documenting about things we love too!
