Hello Crate Paper fans! I'm here today to share a mini album that I created for my daughter's birthday to capture all of the sweet, precious moments from her fourth year (she turned five yesterday). She's growing up way too fast, so I wanted to document some of her recent accomplishments and favorite things before another year flies away.
My daughter Avery is ALL girl, but with a punch, so to speak. She has two older brothers that she has to keep up with so she fishes, rides four-wheelers and plays in the mud right beside them...all wearing her favorite tutu and pink boots!
For this mini album, I cut my patterned paper from the Oh Darling collection at 5 1/2 x 8 for my base pages. To get somewhat of a cohesive look, I used a lot of hearts, aqua spray ink and modeling paste throughout my album.
I used a mask and some modeling paste for the hearts on these first two pages. I love the texture the modeling paste adds to my projects. I layered a few sentiments from the Oh Darling 12 x 12 Cut-Outs and the number '4' on top of the hearts to represent my daughter's fourth year.
For these next two pages, I made a confetti pocket using some vellum, some sequins, and a few ephemera bits from the Oh Darling collection. I added another layer to the pocket so I could slip my journaling tag behind it, so it wouldn't affect the confetti. I also used a large tag and sewed it down on the right side of the page so it would open up as a flap to make my mini a bit more interactive.
I used a large photo (sized at 5 x 7) for this next page and used stickers from the Oh Darling collection to embellish some of the white space in the photo. I layered a few banner stickers at the top left corner of my photo and balanced them out with a horizontal sentiment at the bottom.
I used some spray ink and a cloud cut file as a mask for this next page to make my own background. I also added another vellum pocket to house some journaling about my daughter's favorite things when she was four.
I made another interactive flap on this next page using the sentiment from one of the 3 x 4 journaling cards in the Oh Darling collection. I used my sewing machine and sewed one side of the arrow down on my page. Underneath, I layered several ephemera bits and some decorative tape around the bottom of my photo. I used another journaling card and sewed it down at the top to make another flap on the polka dot vellum to house some more journaling.
To end my mini, I took a recent photo of my daughter and layered it underneath a photo frame. I used another ephemera card and journaled all of her current loves on the back. I made a vellum pocket to slip the journaling card inside and layered a few ephemera flowers on top of it.
I created this mini to capture some of the adorable moments from my daughter's fourth year that I want her (and myself) to remember for many years to come. Time seems to fly by so fast and I truly cherish each minute I get to be near her.

Beautiful mini Adrienne! Love the vellum pockets and your interactive ideas for journaling. P.S. Sorry for my bad English! :)
