Ahhhhh...Valentine's Day - a day of love is approaching and I have a lot of {paper} love to share today. I made some versatile projects which can be as complicated or as simple as you have the time and energy for.
My first project is a set of love notes for my four children. I used four different papers to create a heart-shaped quilt pattern on a card. I used a die, but a punch would work just as well. I then adhered a sucker with a glue dot at the bottom. A little tiny tag was stamped using one of the sentiments from the Love Notes stamp set. It was then tied to the sucker (their favorite sweet treat) with twine.
I used a clip from the collection on top to hold my special message for each child. Vellum is a great choice for still appreciating the patterned paper hearts beneath. Here they are all together.
The pocket can hold a note, money (for family, not classmates..lol, though I'm sure they would appreciate it too!), or candy.
And you could stop there if you wanted to, but I took it a bit further and made these cards for close friends.
If you wanted to make it simplier, you could tape the layers down instead of stitching, or not distress the edges, or eliminate the smaller stapled tag. The paper and stamps are from the Love Notes collection. I enjoyed making these projects and hope that it will make Valentine's Day a little more special.
These cards are super cool! I love the vellum notes on the heart cards for Wida's kids. The pockets are a fabulous idea. LOL about the money.
