Every once in a blue moon, I feel it's important to create a "no-photo" layout and focus primarily on the journaling. A great way to start a layout of this kind is to call attention to a current event or subject. Because it's February and love is in the air, I thought about what it is that I totally love right now, at this exact moment. I didn't have to look too far to answer this question - read on to find out my answer!
I used the elements of the Love Notes collection to jump start my creativity and what I wanted to journal about...
The tape cassettes, of course, made me think of music, so I recorded my love for all things Johnny Cash! Music is an easy direction to go in contemplating what's a fave of mine at the present moment.
My ultimate crush: the reality series Alaska the Last Frontier. I love the way they live and they way they value life and family. TV offers endless options in choosing a "watch-now" favorite!
The little camera and frame represent my love for Instagram. I love scrolling through and seeing what everyday moments or objects my friends are capturing.
I used an ample amount of the chipboard and sticker hearts to sprinkle throughout my design. The doilies and geo tag represents "home" to me, so I included my favorite time of day: 4:00PM when Aaron and the boys get home from work and school. Family is always first!
And last but not least, the "love viewer" represents my current favorite movie: Hall Pass - hilarious!
I hope you're encouraged to grab some embellishments and journal what they represent in your "current" life. There is so much to love and journal about during Valentine's Day.
Such a beautiful layout! I love the idea of doing layouts without photos!
