During all of November and December, Crate is bringing you a week-to-week celebration of holiday themed creations with the help of our finest CP Gals! Each week will be dedicated to something new and different - from cards to DIY spreads, we're reigning in the season of giving with crafty ideas from the heart for both the home, and loved ones. This momentous event goes until the magical date, December 25th. Visit daily - there will be lots to admire and try!
This week, the highlighted theme is "Give Thanks" - a perfect excuse for card making and expressing gratitude to that special someone in your life.

The Close Knit collection provides the perfect warm, cozy colors for card making. The rich brown wooden accents and vintage prints are certain to brighten a loved one's day upon receipt! I crafted four cards with Close Knit -- two 'thank-you' cards and a special card for a close friend that is experiencing a rough time.
For the first thank you card, I began with the large wooden veneer flower and carried that theme in the sentiment with the wood grain Thickers and heart shaped 'you' die cut. To finish the look, I added stitched banner accents and a decorative strip along the bottom.
For the second thank-you card, I cut the woodgrain heart from the accent patterned paper sheet, and used my Silhouette Cameo to create the title. The font is 'Wintermelon'. Finally, I sewed a few strips of patterned paper and folded up the edges for added dimension.
On the invitation, I chose a sentiment sticker from Party Day, then added chipboard pieces, stickers, wood veneer and a wooden brad. The vintage cameo patterned paper, along with the cameo brad, create a vintage family feel for this invite.
Finally, I used the stitched HUGS accent backed with white cardstock and foam adhesive for this card. Die cuts, chipboard, a wooden brad and a dimensional heart sticker add cozy details that I hope will put a smile on my friend's face!
Thanks for joining me today, CP Fans! Happy Fall!
