Hey Everyone! I'm back to share another 365 project, but this time around, I'll be sharing pages from a new album that I created especially for our little one. I've decided to go with a bigger sized album (A4 instead of the handbook size that I've been using for my 365 project); partially because I want to be able to have a selection and mix of PL cards and layouts.
For this week's project, I used the gorgeous Flea Market collection, focusing especially on the 6" x 6" patterned paper pad. When working with PL cards, I tend to use these papers instead as the size of the designs are just right for the smaller layout space.
My first spread is about those first few moments of my little princess as she made her introduction (with a loud cry and kick). I remember feeling speechless then and still am today as we watch her grow day-by-day (literally, last week, her clothes were loose and now, they barely fit).
Here are a couple of close-ups of the cards that I created using a mix of patterned papers, chipboard, die cuts and stickers. I also trimmed "sayings" from one of the patterned papers (Heirloom Cut-Outs, Borders and Tags) to complete the look! Seriously economical!
In addition, using the remaining bits and pieces left over from the spread, I then created another layout to capture the moment when we first saw her open her eyes (what big eyes you have my dear). The little pieces were just the right size to complete the patchwork design on the layout.
And some close-ups of the layout - don't you just love the hint of gold here and there in this collection and not to mention the awesome mix of colors and design? Also, one of my must-have embellishments in this collection are the layered butterflies!! Love, love, love the layered look and the touches of gold!
These are beautiful examples. I love how you softened the photos to sepia /BW. Precious!
