Hello, it's Magda here with a bright and modern mini album tutorial. I've been looking forward to sharing it with you because almost anyone can create one just like it. It's about "my" everyday life. There are so many moments in our lives that are worth remembering. This album is about celebrating every single day and the pieces that follow. Think about what you love to do - truly, what makes you happy?
Here's a look at what I used to create my mini album...
Lets get started, shall we? You'll need three sheets of Crate patterned paper, 15cm x 30cm each. Fold them as shown in the image below.
Adhere the flaps down on all sides except at the very top. You'll be inserting tags into the top openings by leaving the top edges "as-is". To see the tags "in action", scan down and study the album photos at the end of this post. It'll give you a better idea of which sides to adhere in putting the album pages together.
It's now time to bind the album pages together so as to create an overall base for positioning photos and embellishments. Stack the pages together and punch a tiny hole near the top and bottom edge - inside the fold. Review arrows below.
Also, using the binding technique described in the images, bind the pages together. The process isn't too difficult. Attach one folded page at a time using embroidery floss or strong thread. An embroidery needle is of immense help if you have one to get the thread through the holes.
Trim a small section of patterned paper to cover the binded area. Wrap the paper around the exposed spine to keep the thread protected and secure. Adhere it into position with a strong, wet adhesive.
Remember the pockets I mentioned earlier on? Either pre-make tags to fit inside them, or use Crate's super cute accent tags instead! Top them off with a page tab for easy grabbing.
Here is the end result!! I decorated it with only a few embellishments because I prefer the clean and simple look. Just a few threads, die-cuts and other random elements were added to the pages. This album isn't collection specific, so use whatever Crate Paper products you have on hand. Secure the album with embroidery floss and you're finished!
I'd love to know what you think of the album!! Cute and petite come to mind when I scan through it's pages - lovely indeed! Have a great day and thanks for hanging out with us!
