Hello Everyone! Naomi here with a Project Life layout for you! This last week was my daughter's birthday. I also did a photo shoot with my daughter and her friend right before the big event. In creating this week's Project Life layout, I wanted to tie these two special moments together and also, use Crate's new Party Day line. I love this line..it's easily customizable for a boy or girl! I used all of the "girly"" pieces from the line with the addition of one pink piece of paper from "Fourteen".
For the title, Week 2, I actually used the cardboard backing of the Party Day standout stickers. It's a soft beige polka dot (Perfect!). I used some American Crafts Gold Thickers (My Favorite!) and then a few hand-cut chevron pieces from a sheet of Party Day patterned paper. In the mix are more Party Day stickers, chipboard, die-cuts and more faves, journaling cards - they fit right in!
This second page is filled mostly with pictures from my daughter's birthday party. The Party Day line has an amazingly fun stamp set that includes a trendy chevron polaroid image. If you look closely at the top right corner, you'll see that I misted a piece of background paper and then stamped the polaroid using White Pigment Ink & Pink AC Embossing Powder. I went on to add some quotes to it and layered it on top a journaling card.
The top middle area of the page is just a piece of patterned paper layered beneath a punched strip of paper that I attached with washi tape (another fun feature from Party Day!). I LOVE the stuff!! It's a great way to add multiple tapes to your stash without having to buy actual rolls of washi tape!!
I really like adding dimension to my album by placing bulkier embellishments on top the plastic sleeves. I feel it prevents them from buckling and tearing, and also, adds a unique look.
I do hope that you will see the versatility of this line, and how easily you can use it for a boy, a girl, or any Project Life entry! Have a great weekend..and don't forget to make some time for scrapbooking!
Would love to know which the Thickers are that you used.....thank you!
