Kit Giveaway Winner + A Week's Worth of Fourteen Love

With Valentine's Day less than a few weeks away, it's time for us to explore the possibilities of Crate's 2013 Valentine's Day collection, Fourteen. It's a bright, colorful mix of cotton candy pink, minty green-blue, chic yellow, vibrant red and antique white. The palette has received much attention from our designers. Most have fallen' in love with it and claim the collection to be their "top fave"! Personally, we think they're totally right in their assessment - it is seriously cute stuff!! This project started because I've had these small muslin bags kicking around for a few months and I really wanted to create something to go inside them. What better than a trio of sweet Valentine (or any occasion) cards? I love, love, love red and yellow together and for the last couple of years, I've adored it for Valentine's Day. Fourteen gave me many options for putting them together. My other inspiration for this project came from one of my favorite papers from this collection, "Love". I'm so smitten with that floral pattern and all of those colors -- especially the larger red flowers and the tiny yellow ones. That was my jumping off point, and from there I gathered stickers, tags, die-cuts and labels to assemble the three different cards, keeping red and yellow in mind. Once complete, the set fit nicely in the muslin bag. I stamped the scalloped label in the center and added the "Fantastic" thickers. {I glued them to the bag with Fabri-Tac to be sure they wouldn't fall off} The finishing touch was the little yellow tag.
