My version of collage...When I think of collage I think back to when I was little gluing lots of bits and pieces cut from magazines, stickers, whatever I found and liked... much like my four year old does now. A bunch of randomness glued down to make something fun and meaningful. Right now I have three LOs on my desk I am working on, I have misted doilies with letter stickers layered on top, stick pins stuck into pinwheels, ribbon with brads stuck through it, lots of sewing, stamped images, layers and layers of paper, ribbon, metal...lots of random stuff that somehow looks quite simple, fun, and very meaningful.

I love the collage look with different patterned papers.

I use collages for my holiday photos... There are always a TON of pics so it's a great way get more pics on one page!

I print my photos in collage format then I cut up the minis to make up my own collages.... I like to create neat grid collages from the minis and patterned paper. I add embellishments to the patterned paper and the final result is a layout the looks like a shadow box.

I use collages to scrapbook my iPhone pics. I downloaded an app called postal pix that allows you order 4x4 pics directly from your phone. This size keeps the image in tact and is perfect for collage themed scrapbooking layouts!

I love layering papers and embellishments to form a collage.

I like to collage a bunch of embellishments and photos together on a page in a random way keeping a white background to keep the page from feeling messy.

awesome ideas! i use collage a lot in my journals. i start with a layer of my favorite paper (some vintage paper as well as scrapbook paper), then i add washi tape, journaling cards and 2-D embellishments. then i add photos or journaling and more tape, etc. it is fun to see how the page progresses and changes as i add layers.
