One of our very own Crate Paper designers, Rahel Menig, is hosting a Christmas Book online class at Studio Bluemoon. Upon finding out about it, we kindly invited her to host a "Class Pass" giveaway on the Crate blog! All the details are published below - be prepared, there is 70 minutes of video coverage to go along with this holiday inspired class. Imagine that - a glass of yummy hot chocolate and seventy minutes of straight scrapbooking!
The Christmas Book
Christmas is just around the corner and we are getting ready for the festivities, writing down ideas, wish lists, recipes and more. I personally have lots and lots of little papers and sticky notes sitting around during this busy time - half of them get lost in the chaos...I end up getting frustrated and of course, that is not the goal of the season!!
The December Dailies or Christmas Journals that I commit myself to each year don't get filled (other then the first three or four days) and once Christmas Eve has passed, I regret not having captured more memories...
This made me think. I brainstormed for a good resolution and then it hit me! I don't want a journal that makes me feel I need to do something every single day, I need something entirely different. I want to prepare a book before Christmas and then I want to enjoy and capture the season with my camera and maybe a few journal posts. That's it! No pressure to create a page every single day, but the fun and joy that this season brings to us.
So, this class is not going to make your already busy life even busier, but it will help you organize, enjoy and capture the most wonderful time of the year in a simple way.
My hope is for you to be able to let go of the idea of committing yourself to a December Daily to be able to capture your life during Christmas. I want you to step out of the box and explore a new system that will help you to relax and enjoy the season with your family and friends.

It looks amazing - I tend to preserve my Christmas memories in mini books tho I do squeeze in a few 12" LOs to my Christmas album too.

I have never tried to document the everyday life in December. I usually create a LOT of scrapbook layouts throughout the next year.

I am a 2page gal myself- so that is what I usually do - a 2page layout and then include any memorabilia into a pocket. Love this journal though!

I usually just make a layout after each Christmas season. But I love what you said about the "no pressure" form of a December daily. Brilliant.

i take the pictures, because i'm striving for the december daily. but then i don't pre-make the book, and or forget a photo or six ... take all the photos at the beginning and then don't take very many christmas day . ... i seem to be good at getting lost in the process, and i'm not a big "holiday' scrapper for the most part

i have an unfinished December daily from last year and before that I did a few layouts each year. I am planning on a DD this year again and hopefully have more luck in finishing it!

This journal is amazing!! I love all of the little details. Our Christmas memories are stored in my Dec daily projects. This year I will be using Dec daily I created last year using the 7 gypsies library drawer. Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful class!!

I always take a lot of pictures to document our Christmas. Last year I did December Daily (got the album done in advance, but only finished printing photos and doing journaling this month!!) and I want to do it again this year. I'm always pressed for time though!

In a folder on my computer - unedited, undocumented, unloved. I really need to do something with them.

I LOVE the whole concept of this class. No pressure to journal everyday is right up my alley. I love the idea of capturing memories with no stress and pressure. I have have all my pictures still on the computer and a box of supplies waiting to be used. I think this class will help me get started and keep me motivated>

I have a separate Christmas album for our holiday photos. Each year I add about 6 pages to it. It's so much fun to see the changes with just the turn of a couple of pages. :)
I am attempting a December Daily this year and would love to win a spot in this class! :)
