About Elizabeth...
I started scrapbooking when I was a little girl. My first big break was winning Scrapbooker of the Year for Creating Keepsakes Magazine in 2007. I had never been published in the magazine so you could imagine my excitement. My column Dear Lizzy featured for over a year and I enjoyed reading questions from all over the world. A couple years later, I was overjoyed to author a book, 52 more Scrapbooking Challenges. A fabulous, creative experience where I poured my heart onto every page of that book.
My most recent exciting endeavor is the release of my own craft line, Dear Lizzy. A collaboration with American Crafts including: crochet flowers, fabric paper, stickers, fabric brads & ruffle ribbon.
I've been married to Collin for eight years. He actually took me on our first date when I was fifteen. We now have three silly, adorable girls who keep us very busy. Check out my blog for creative inspiration and ordinary thoughts about our extraordinary days: Dear Lizzy Blog.

Introductions
I had so much fun designing with Crate Paper! I enjoyed mixing all the different lines and layering all the fun products.
The first page is called "Right Before My Eyes" and I wrote hidden journaling about my daughter who is almost 5 and growing up so fast.
I added this hidden journaling on a 4" x 10" piece of paper so I could have lots of room to write a note to Avery. I often write my journaling and titles to whoever the page is about. Like it's a present to them from me...since it basically is.
I used a 2" scalloped circle punch for the circles and added a touch to all of them.
Here's a quick tip for you about titles. I wasn't sure which letter stickers I wanted to use for the page and so I added the stickers to a stylus (American Crafts rub-on tool) until I knew which one I preferred. I also use the same idea to check the spacing and make sure my title will fit. Then, I press the tops of the letter down and roll the stylus so the stickers pop off and then press down the bottom of the letters.
The next layout, "Heart Strings", I wanted to use the woodgrain paper and I like how it coordinated with the photos of my daughter. It was a fun page to make by handcutting and punching out different hearts. I also used lots of stitching around the entire page and other areas.
I also used a typewriter to write my journaling. It's the cutest pink typewriter but some of the letters don't work, so I used a pen and added those letters myself. I love the mix of handwriting and type.
I also loved layering all of the different borders and trims...
The last projects are for my new site, Something Splendid. It's a website for online workshops that comes with a kit. Right now I'm registering for a cute mini album using Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe and Toy Box {Sold Out}. The mini album is made out of chipboard then has glassine envelopes inside to include keepsakes and letters to someone you love. Makes a great gift too! Check out Something Splendid for the upcoming workshops too.
Thanks for checking out my projects today! xoxo Lizzy.
