Hi - Tara here, and I'll be sharing a quick little project I made over the weekend. I'm right in the middle of redesigning my scrapbook/craft space and rather than creating an inspiration wire for my studio, I decided to create a small memory board instead. {Because I really only need a few more things to make it perfect!} This project was also a great reason to use up some of the tiny chipboard pieces that I've been saving!!
For this project, you'll need:
A Frame, Cork-Board, Cardboard, Small Chipboard Shapes (Portrait), Punched Circles from either paper or cardstock, Flat Push Pins, Glue Dots
First, I started with a small gold frame I found at a local thrift store. I cut a piece of cork-board to fit inside it, and then I added a piece of cardboard to the back, to hold the cork-board snuggly in place.
Peel the backs from the chipboard, and I like to add one glue-dot to the back of the chipboard to make it extra sticky. Stick the chipboard onto the punched shape.
Next, we'll add 1 or 2 glue dots to the push pin. Center the tack onto the back of the punched paper and chipboard and press together to secure the layers.
You can also use fabric brads in the same way! Use a pair of wire cutters to snip off the metal prongs from the brad and add a glue dot to secure the brad to a punched paper shape.
I gathered a few magazine cut-outs and made a list of things to find. I then added the cute hand-made push pins to my inspiration board to keep everything pieced together {just so}. I do hope you enjoy the process of making your own inspiration board and of course, the simple, readily doable push-pins! Happy Crafting ~ Tara Anderson
Looks AWESOME Tara!! I loveeeeeeeeee those pins! :):):):):):):):):):):)
