There is something wonderfully refreshing this time of year as Spring approaches and presents us with hints of warm weather, glistening rain, newly risen tulips and wakeful mornings of birds chirping. It represents a new beginning and fresh start! Here at Crate, we're readily excited in starting anew and partaking in Spring's unavoidable necessity for a change in direction - one that calls for major Spring cleaning and of course, scrapbooking/crafting about those things most popular this time of year including Easter, gardening, family time, home life and outdoor fun. So, have you begun any Spring-themed projects as of yet? If not, then let us help you get started! We're devoting today, Monday and Tuesday to "all things Spring" here at Crate Paper and would be greatly honored to have you follow along! We've a long line-up of awesome Spring ideas from our CP Girls to share and will be presenting them throughout the three days via a mixed display. Coinciding with the projects are giveaways you're sure to love, including one major giveaway the very last day (Tuesday!)....Let's just say that it'll help cure that all too common "Spring Fever" vibe we all feel right about now. :)
This is the very first series of "Spring-oriented" projects we've to present as part of our "Spring Fever" 3-day extravaganza - our girls have orchestrated a vast variety of gorgeous projects for you to peek upon! After you're done admiring, review today's CP collection giveaway!
Jaime Warren knows how to spread lovely details across a layout - so much so, you simply can't look away! Within all them details are hints of sweet mother nature, including hand-cut florals from Portrait's Bridesmaids patterned paper, Emma's Shoppe Accent Cards and Neighborhood's chipboard collection.
There's something about Spring that brings us closer to family. Danielle Flanders brings us back in time when her girls were of a younger age and as cute as can be. Partnering with this cuteness are hints of Emma Shoppe and perfectly situated leafy sprigs trimmed and created from Portrait's Pearl patterned paper.
Everyone loves a good ol' fashion Easter egg hunt, especially on warm days and with the little ones initiating all the fun! And it's not always about what's inside them eggs either, the running and finding is usually the dominating theme for most kids. Lexi Bridges talks about her family's egg hunt tradition with assistance from our "made-for-Spring" collection, Neighborhood. We love how she's incorporated the egg banner behind her title - such a great idea!
If there ever was to a be a "Welcome Spring" card, this is it! The creator of course is Amy Heller and her collection of choice is again, Neighborhood (you'll probably be seeing a lot of Neighborhood the next couple of days on our blog). Note the fenced chipboard door and it's butterfly acquaintance - need we say more? Too cute....
Assuming that most of you will be working up a basket or two this Easter - how about this petite, Neighborhood-meets-School Spirt handmade basket from Larissa Albernaz? A couple of fluttering butterflies, some hand-dyed eggs, ribbon, netting and you're set! Maybe we could talk Larissa into a quick basket tutorial before Easter's arrival...how about it Larissa? :)
We've reached the end of our project showcase, so let us now move forward with today's giveaway!! Because Neighborhood is "Classic Spring" and an optimal choice for your Spring creations, we've arranged for two Neighborhood collection sets for two lucky winners! For a chance at winning one of them, quote a current or upcoming Spring project you've to work on (crafty or clean-worthy) in the comment section below! We'll announce our winners next Wednesday!
We'll return Monday with day two of Crate Paper's "Spring Fever" blogging event - see you then! Have a fabulous weekend!
I need to finish up my Spring/Easter cards for my buds and I always make an Easter craft and am thinking of cutting out flowers and putting them in a watering can.

scrappiness is ongoing and is my treat for hard work around the house. There is going to be a lot of that in the next few months, while we get things ready for our oldest who is graduating, and we will be hosting a grad party. I will take pictures, and if I win, I will have some Neighborhood to scrap them with, so please pick me! =)
