"Sleigh bells ring, are you listening? In the lane, snow is glistening..." Yes, we're seriously singing over here and all because the song has literally been following us as we've been going about the usual route of things today. We're not entirely surprised either because Christmas is only ten days away! Yes, TEN days! Can you believe it?! Are you about ready to wrap up the finishing touches on those handmade projects you've been working so diligently these last couple of weeks (or should we say months)? What remains on your "to-do" list before Santa swoops in with his bag full of presents and nine lil' reindeer? Well, there are still seven more days of Happy Holiday posts to share with you, including todays, so we still have plenty of items on our "to-do" list! As a means of checking off one more task from the list, let us present day three of Happy Holidays! Remember, Make sure to peek at the giveaway before you leave!
Hello, hello, hello! CP Girl, Sarah, here to share a fun project that I made for one of my children’s teachers. I love making tags, so I tend to go for gifts that allow me to tie on a tag and call it wrapped. *wink* A candle is great for this. I also have a holiday card to go along with the gift.
I used some chipboard buttons and brads from Restoration and Snow Day to create some fun ornaments to stick onto the felt. I love being able to mix embellishments from various collections to tie the whole project together.
The Phrase stickers from Restoration were a huge help to me in this project. They are so handy – and gorgeous! I stitched the buttons to felt using a needle and twine.
And here’s a quick step-by-step of how I created the card:
Pretty fun, right? I had super fun making it… Here’s a peek at the original project once more…

We've been informed that this latest layout from Kaori is about her son's recent mentioning of "happy dreams". Seems fit for December, don't you think? We imagine he's probably thinking lots about Santa, presents and stockings filled with candy since Christmas is sooo close. We've been hearing from our lil' ones about them wanting it to be Christmas already..the anticipation looms!
One can never have too many cards this time of year! Here's Jen Chesnick's take on season's greetings for sending to family and friends using our last year's Christmas collection, North Pole! Maybe a few of you still remember this mostly primary color collection..it's quite contrary to this year's collection, Snow Day!
A perfect storage piece for the giving of gift certificates - Lolly created this pretty lil' container for the sharing of a Starbucks Gift Certificate! Wouldn't this be a delight to open on Christmas morning? Even look at Lolly's orchestrated Snow Day hinges - too clever!
We have two brand new projects to post today from a couple of our blog readers - this holiday wall hanging caught our attention a few days ago! It's creator is Belinda Langner and not only did she send us an image of the wall hanging on display in her home, but she also had close-up images of each section of the wall hanging available for viewing on her blog! Thanks for sharing Belinda! It's perfectly darling!
If not familiar, Crate Paper has available 6 x 6 pattern paper pads of Snow Day, Restoration and School Spirit! So, if you're a card maker and find that working with large 12 x 12 sheets of paper isn't your thing, then you're in luck! Nancy Thomas mentioned that she had been making quite a few cards this year from our 6 x 6 Snow Day pad and chipboard accents. She recently pointed us in the direction of the cards for the event! Here's a small sampling of them...visit her blog to find more!
If ever in search of the ideal gift, there is only one place to go and that would be Bath and Body Works! Who doesn't love a basket full of heavenly scented soaps, lotions and lightly fragranced candles for themselves during the holidays? Or how about a collection of wallflowers (peppermint twist sounds nummy!) for freshening up the home?! We have a $40 gift certificate to Bath and Body Works for you today - leave a comment and we'll select our winner on December 22nd.
Thank-you for stopping by during this festive event - we'll see you tomorrow with day four of Crate Paper's Happy Holidays!
