About Christine:
Christine lives in
South Saint Paul, Minnesota with her young son Ethan. She's been
scrapbooking for over four years and has played multiple roles in the scrapbook
industry as a designer, teacher, project kit connoisseur and most currently,
design team coordinator for Crate Paper. She hosts a well-established
blog, "Retrospection", where she shares her latest work and routinely
writes small tutorials for ongoing projects. Christine's work is very
detail oriented. She has a passion for embellishments and texture.
By combining funky unique scrapbook items, Christine creates beautifully
layered scrapbook layout that keep the moving around the page. Her work
is highly ornate, though with an edge of playfulness and vintage grunge.
No detail is ever left behind.

About Lori:
Hi, my name is Lori Gentile. I have a full time job staying at
home with my two energetic boys, Dylan and Brody. I am married to a delightful
man, named Jeremy, who supports my need to be creative. I dabble in a lot of
creative things; mixed media, scrapbooking, stamping, beading, and knitting.
I’ve been scrapbooking for 11 years. If anything, I get more excited about it
every year. I love that I am recording our family history and that my family
loves remembering it. I am an avid reader of fantasy books, my favorite movie
is “The Princess Bride”, my exercise of choice is pilates, and my “will die
without” vice is coffee.
What started you
scrapbooking?
Twelve years ago my
cousin showed me her scrapbook and I knew in that instant that I needed to do
it. I went to a home party and have been hooked ever since.
What are your
greatest inspirations?
I love catalogs and
magazines. I love mixed media and home decor. I can't get enough of either and
I buy tons of magazines about both subjects for constant inspiration. My
favorite source of inspiration, however, comes from free catalogs;
Anthropologie, Crewcuts from J. Crew, Pottery Barn, Ballard Designs, and Boden
USA.

About Lucy:
Hi everyone! It seems
like I have been crafty all of my life and have always loved color. I started
scrapbooking after becoming a mom and watching my photos pile up. I wanted to
incorporate my photos into my artwork – I had been doing mixed media for about
6 years and have sewn and dabbled with stained glass, painting and quilting for
years, and scrapbooking was a natural progression. I immediately fell in love
with scrapbooking and combining techniques from other crafts. I still love
mixed media and often create OTP projects combining all of my favorite things,
fabric, photos, paint, and stitching.
I have been married
for 14 years to a wonderfully supportive husband, Mark and we have a 4 year old
daughter, Emma, who provides so much inspiration for my artwork. We live in a
small town in north Florida and enjoy going to the beach and rivers. My family
is first in my life and I love sharing my life with them.
This hobby has
certainly changed my life more than I ever imagined. The wonderful friendships
and sharing community have presented many great opportunities and I’ve been
able to design and share my love for being creative. I have been fortunate to
be a frequent contributor to Somerset publications with my artwork and
tutorials. I can’t wait to see what the future holds! I’m so excited to be part of Crate Paper and working with such wonderful
artists!
What started you
scrapbooking?
After my daughter
was born I wanted to start incorporating the huge number of photos I was
taking into my artwork - scrapbooking became a natural progression from mixed
media for me. I wanted to do more with my photos than just put them in an
album, so scrapbooking allowed me to embellish and tell the story and my
emotions behind the pictures.
What are your
greatest inspirations?
My photos are
usually my greatest inspiration, but I am also inspired by nature, color,
techniques, interior and graphic design.

Hi, I’m Mou Saha,
Contributing Writer for Creating Keepsakes magazine. I love to play with

My name is Ronda
Palazzari, like the beach boy song…help me Rhonda…only "no h." I
currently live in the burbs of Denver, Colorado with my husband Andy and two
teens. My house is ruled by two adorable Chihuahuas, Nina & Pedro. I love
being a stay-at-home mom and all things crafty….. scrapping, cooking, knitting,
sewing, interior decorating, and photography. I am addicted to chai teas, love
to travel, say “Shut Up,” “Totally,” “Dude,“ & “No Worries” way too much,
obsessed with colors & rainbow order, love to read books & sometimes
reread my favorites, find that being a SAHM is one of the hardest but most

love baking & the scent of vanilla, addicted to Project Runway, Top Chef,
& America’s next top model, love to sleep in late when I get the chance

I was the editor of
my HS newpaper and layouts were my specialty. I guess I never outgrew

About Sarah:
Hey y’all! I am so excited to be a part of Crate Paper! I guess
you could say that
paper-crafting is my first passion, but only if you don’t count my incredible
family. I joined the online craft community in December 2008, diving in “head
first,” and I haven’t been able to stop since. I am married to my hero and best
friend, Sie. Together, we have a beautiful daughter, Sydney, and a fun-loving
son, Sie, II. We are a busy bunch, but what more could a girl ask for? I am so
thrilled to share with and be inspired by you all as we enjoy all that Crate
Paper has to offer! Blessings, hugs & love!
What started you
scrapbooking?
I began scrapbooking soon
after my daughter, Sydney, was born. As she grew older I picked up card making
to share for events like her birthday and back to school. Now I love designing
both pages and cards for just about any occasion.
What are your greatest
inspirations?
When it comes to
scrapbooking, those special moments with my family inspire me the most. Whether
it's a casual trip for some gelato, my daughter's first theatrical performance,
or my son's first "potty" time, I know there are some moments that I
never want to forget. Card making began as a way for me to share my creativity

About Amy:
Hi! My name is Amy Heller and I couldn't be
more excited to be here today as a part of the Crate Paper Design Team! I made
my very first "scrapbook" when I was in 7th grade. I call it a
scrapbook, even though it was really a report that I embellished with all sorts
of colors, shapes and designs cut out of construction paper and glued on with a
glue stick. I did it purely for fun, but the reception I received was so
great, that I knew then, that I wanted to follow the route of design as a
career, which I did. I became a graphic designer out of college and worked in
the industry for 8 years before having my daughter and becoming a SAHM and
freelance designer. In 2004, we moved cross-country to the East Coast for my
husband to attend graduate school. There I met a group of ladies who held a
monthly scrapbooking group. I LOVED the products that were available and LOVED
creating artwork that had my growing family as its focus. In 2008 was when
my scrapbooking became a true passion and in 2009 was when I discovered
cardmaking. At that point it was all over, I was hooked and my
"office" became my craft room!
What
are your greatest inspirations?
My greatest inspiration for my cards comes from
patterned paper. I am really drawn to pattern and color and the texture that
comes from it. I love taking multiple, sometimes conflicting pattern and
creating something unexpected and cohesive from it. When I am stumped, I love
seeking out inspiration from other artists via blogs, Flickr photo mosaics and
Etsy.
When
did you start scrapbooking?
She was introduced to scrapbooking in 2004 but
didn't become serious about it until 2008.
She started making cards in 2009.
What

Hi, my name is Amy Parker. I live on the Central
Coast of California with my husband, Jed, and my 2 and a half
year old daughter, Creedence. I am Mommy by day, and avid creator by
night. Scrapbooking is the first art form that has ever made me feel creative,
and free in that creativity!! From the moment I started, I was set for
life. Scrapbooking is therapy for me and helps me to express myself. Every
emotion and feeling and memory is different, and that is exactly how I think
they should be expressed in scrapbooking! So from this you will find that I
scrap in a variety of styles! And I love having that freedom to just create
what I feel! I am so extremely excited about joining the team here at

What
started you scrapbooking?
My daughter. The more I wanted to document things
that she would do, the more I started looking around to see what I could do. I
found a couple kits at my local craft store and found some stuff online, and it
just went nuts from there!
What
are your greatest inspirations?
Color combos send my mind into full swing! I love
color combos! And I also love that it forces me to go through all my stash to
try and find more things of that one color I am looking for, which then helps
keep me informed on what I own!

About Ania Jo:
Located at an island right outside the West Coast of
Norway, I live in a soon-to-be-white-house (we're painting atm ;) with my
husband and our two children aged nine and five. At day I work as a
photojournalist/press-photographer at the local newspaper, in the evenings I
enjoy watching movies & TV-series and playing video-games with my husband
and also scrapbooking and have done so for about five years now. I count myself as a scrapbooker primarily,
and cardmaker only when required - but more like a chore rather than something
I liked to do. Well, the last year has proven different - I find it more and
more fun to actually create cards if I know who will receive them. I still
don't feel good at making generic cards, but for cards with "real"
purposes - well, it's more fun creating them then, I think.
What
started you scrapbooking?
Back then, in fall 2005, I had received back the
photos from my daughters Christening, and I knew I wanted to do more with them
than just putting them in a photo album. I had seen something called
"scrapbooking" in a photo store, but I did not really know what it
was. I had an inkling it might be what I wanted to do with the baby photos, so
I googled - and spent all night (I think I went to bed at like 3.30am) just
looking and looking in awe at what I could find on the net - and by the next
morning I had already ordered a scrapbook-kit so I could try my hands on this
myself. Ever since - I haven't looked back.
What
are your greatest inspirations?
I have several scrapbookers whom I adore and admire
- but I think the best inspirations are after all the photos and stories I want
to tell, and just as much - the products I want to use - they often decide the
style & direction my layouts will take.

About Davinie:
My name is Davinie Fiero and I'm married to my local
firefighter and raise my two girls on a couple of acres in Central
Oregon. We love the outdoors, but my heart belongs to crafting.
I've been scrapbooking since I was a teenager but didn't focus on archival
products and design until my eldest daughter was born.
I'm lucky to work for Scrapbook and Cards Today
magazine as well as Studio Calico, and my work can be seen in all of the major
publications, some of them on a routine basis.
I'll be heading back to school someday to get my
Master's degree and teaching certificate, as I hope to be an elementary school
teacher someday, but for now I work from home part time in the health insurance
industry and spend the rest of my time shuttling kids around town.
What
started you scrapbooking?
I took photography and was part of the school
yearbook staff in high school. My mom has always had an interest in
photography, so I think I was born with the focus on photos and preserving
family history. I didn't really start scrapbooking until after I was
married (and I STILL haven't made my wedding album. Someday......)
I became obsessed with scrapbooking after Morgan was born.
What
are your greatest inspirations?
My kids inspire me. Their cute mugs and funny
sayings are my favorite things to document.
What five words best describe your scrapbook style?
Clean. I don't like anything messy, I don't do
too many tilted photos. I like it to look clean.
Homespun. I HAVE to sew on it somewhere. I
love the texture it offers and the finish it gives to my projects.
Textured. I like my work to have dimension and
texture, so I will use stitching and pop dots and layered embellishments to
give it some oomph.sheesh. two more!
Balanced. I follow rules of design in my work
(ie., the visual triangle, etc). I always try to make sure it is visually
pleasing to the eye.
Fresh. Most of my layouts are about my two
little girls, who are happy in a pink tutu while fishing for pollywogs. I
don't feel my work is overly feminine, but I feel like it's always fresh and
fun.
About Heidi:
My name is Heidi Sonboul and I'm a crafter! My whole
life has been filled with watching my mother paint as an infant. Learning to
sew when I was 6. Playing under a quilting tables and pushing the needle back
up. I began scrapbooking at the age of 12. I Redecorated my room every year as
a teen and so much more. About 4 years ago, I set out to be published by a
scrapbook magazine and after learning the ropes, I accomplished my goal. I find
great peace in crafting and I love the way it makes me feel. I feel that my
inner Heidi is empowered by the art community. I have been published in many
magazines and books, have had my work shown on QVC & HSN, and have served
on many Design Teams. As of now, I'm the Design Team Coordinator for GCD
Studios, serves as a team member for Anna Griffin, am sponsored by many teams
including Scotch Adhesives Company and now :) Crate Paper! I feel so blessed
that my mother taught me to love crafting! I'm over the moon excited to be part
of this talented team.
What
started you scrapbooking?
When I was 12 my best friends mom loved card making
and I got pulled right in! Then a few months later I found a scrapbook album
laying on a store shelf and bought it. I've been going strong ever since.

The world around, Wedding blogs, photography, Art
books and Magazines, and pretty much anything and everything else! I'm always
looking for new ideas and I keep a little book close by, to write down the
ideas.

About Jaime:
I have always had a love for photography and
creating. Being able to combine the two has been a dream come true! My love for
photography started at a young age and became a passion of mine as a teenager.
I was introduced to scrapbooking by a friend and from that moment I was hooked.
Scrapbooking is, for me, a creative outlet. I am able to share my love for my
children, husband and photography through my pages.
What
started you scrapbooking?
A friend of mine actually introduced me to
scrapbooking - and I was immediately hooked. I took a break for a bit and
then dove back in head first. I haven't looked back since!

are your greatest inspirations?
My girls and my husband, without a doubt. They
inspire me in so many ways - they are what drives me.

About Lolly:
My name is Lolly and I love crafts! I live in
the North Texas area with my husband Ron and our 3 dogs (Dog (also known as
Doggie or DogChops)), Charlotte and Harriet). I work full time but spend
tons of time outside of my job in my craft room! I started painting rocks
with my mom’s oil paints when I was 4 and doing ceramics and pottery with her
when I was 5. Her and I still do crafts together nearly every weekend
(it’s pretty safe to say she’s my very bestest friend)!
I love to combine many different mediums in my
projects and adore layers and texture too. I find inspiration everywhere
I look and keep a little book with me at all times so I can quickly sketch
ideas before they fly away into la la land!!!
What
started you in scrapbooking?
I stumbled into Scrapbook supplies when I was
looking for new elements to incorporate into my craft projects! I have
done less than 10 LOs but only because they take me decades to complete!
Altered anything is really and truly where my passion lies! I scour flea
markets, yard sales and junk shops for items to alter as often as I can (I
actually have a whole closet full of goodies just waiting to be dressed up)!

are your greatest inspirations?
I get tons of inspiration from everyday items (seen
as I am shopping or poking around the internet). I recently saw a zinc
modern art piece and was inspired to turn it into a barnyard scene!

Over the next couple days here at Crate Paper, we're going to formally introduce you to our newest design team members for the Fall 2010 Design Team Term. Alongside the images of each one of the new CP Girls is a sample of their creations and a bio & mini questionnaire. We welcome you to get to know them personally as they'll be with us the next six months and will be regular contributors to the Crate Paper blog! The CP Girls will serve to inspire you and demonstrate fabulous ways to use our Fall 2010 collections via tutorials and project samples, which we'll be adding to the blog each and every week. We're also expanding the number of updates we provide here - starting August, we'll be uploading new content five days a week! Much of the content will be tutorials directly from our CP Girls! How cool is this?! We're super excited about it and can't wait to see what the team comes up with in the following months. About Michelle:
Hi There! My name is Michelle Lanning and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Crate Paper Design Team!! I live in sunny Southern California with my daughter, Alyson, and our two mischievous cats. We keep busy and are always on the go, but when it's time for window down, I scrap. Simple as it may be, scrapping is my way of relaxing and being creative at the same time! What could be better? Oh, I know - capturing those ever important family memories.
When I'm not running around with my princess, you can catch me teaching First Graders. It's truly a fulfilling job and no two days are ever the same :) I especially enjoy my Summer breaks when I can stay up real late and scrap without having to worry about getting up early in the morning. He,he. I can't wait to get started using all the wonderful products that Crate Paper offers!!
What Started you Scrapbooking?
I started scrapbooking like most people, after the birth of my daughter. I couldn't put pages together fast enough. I wanted to document each and everything! Well, nothings changed! I still document like crazy and I'm concerned that she'll need an entire room just to house all the albums I have for her.
What are your greatest inspirations?
Definitely my daughter. There's nothing I love more than scrapbooking the things we do together, the things she accomplishes, and just our daily lives.
As far as what inspires me when creating a page, I would say many things, like home decorating blogs, scrapper's blogs, clothing, magazine ads, the list goes on. I think I'm more fine tuned to finding inspiration for pages in everyday life. I love that!

About Jenny:
My name is Jenny Chesnick. Chez to most "online" forums, blogs, etc. I've been scrapbooking since 2006. I started scrapbooking when I met my biological father. Putting my family pieces together and getting engaged that year motivated me to want to keep memories of that time. Since then it has taken on a life of it's own it seems, lol. I scrap mostly trips, my friend's children, landscapes and things I take photos of. I like quirky titles and humor in most of my projects. I gather inspiration in everyday life and you will find that in a lot of my projects as well. I'm always down for a good sketch and an inspiring challenge blog! I'm a big alterable fan! I love making banners, home decor, door hangings and the like. I would define my style as quirky, controlled messy, bright, fun and inventive. I own a photography business on the side that I just started and look forward on that growing. I also post my own photos on redsbubble.com and contribute to their groups and challenges. I work for Kraft Foods in my day life. I currently reside in Baltimore, MD but my hometown is Palm Springs, CA. I've been married for five years. Our family includes one step daughter who is 18 (lord help me) and two furry kids who can be found in a lot of fun layouts. We love to travel, we camp with our in-laws a lot during the Summer and enjoy spending time on our "stoop" with neighbors and friends.
About Larissa:
My name is Larissa Albernaz. I've been scrapbooking for almost five years and I'm totally addicted which means I see artistic possibilities over everything around me. Everyday, I enjoy perceiving the colors in my surroundings and I pay close attention to my inner emotions, even it it's to throw them out only on a layout.
Over the years, scrapbooking has provided me a great assortment of artistic possibilities. It allows me to express myself "in style" via mixing papers, embellishments, colors, memories and messages. So, scrapbooking to me is not only a way to preserve my memories, but it's the way I do "Art".
In making "Art", I pursue things that have meaning to me, which inspires me to create projects that are different, interesting, cute, creative, colorful and fun! My style is eclectic & crafty! I also love all things shabby and vintage and anything that has great dimension.
What started you scrapbooking?
Well, I had my colorful agendas in my teenage years; full of stickers and attachments. I also used to make detailed notebooks and magazine clippings, book passages, pictures and drawings. After that, when I got married, as my husband is a photographer, I started setting up albums of our trips, putting together a little bit of everything we collected such as tickets, stickers, post cards and so on. When my daughter was born, I decided it was also time to tell the story behind those pictures. I created my first scrapbooking album during my pregnancy, but it was simple and without techniques. It was only when she turned two years old that I saw an ad about a scrapbooking class near where I live. I got eager to learn more and nowadays I'm completely addicted!
What are your greatest inspirations?
I'm used to getting inspired by absolutely everything! I pay close attention to movies, magazines, products, people, my thoughts, my daily life, art and to my inner emotions, and my daughter's little childish world.

About Kelly:
I've been in love with art from a young age. My mom was a photography hobbyist and she was always taking photos. We used to set up makeshift darkrooms in the small bathroom in our house and I used to love watching the photos develop. I love art history and it was almost my major in college, until I decided to go with Sociology. Scrapbooking combines my love for photography and art and I can't imagine my life without this wonderful hobby! I've been fortunate enough to be published in BHG Scrapbooks Etc., Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends and CARDS magazines. I was a Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame winner in 2008 and a member of the CK Dream Team in 2009. I live in Florida with my husband, Tom and our 2 boys, Jackson (almost 6) and Brady (3). I'm a stay-at-home Mom and a I have a part-time photography business. I also work a few days a month at my local scrapbook store.

I started scrapbooking at the age of 17 after returning from a 3 week trip in Europe with LOTS of photos.

About Melissa:
Melissa was born and raised in American Fork, UT. After graduating from Brigham Young University, she and her husband moved to Southern Nevada where they currently live with their 6-year old daughter.
After the birth of her daughter, Melissa wanted to make handmade Thank-You notes to send out and became hooked immediately on card making. It all spiraled from there and has become a wonderful and rewarding part of Melissa's life.
"I love creating things for other people, and I enjoy the process of working with my hands to turn ordinary paper into something heartfelt. My loves are card making and altering anything that sparks my interest. I enjoy every minute of it and I love to share my creations with those I love."

What Started you Scrapbooking?
It all began with the desire to hand make "Thank-You" card to send out after my little girl arrived. One simply trip to the scrapbook store started the ball rolling. I'm so happy to have discovered this wonderful world of paper crafts.
What are your greatest inspirations?
I'm inspired by home decorating magazines mainly. It's amazing how color, placement, theme, and texture used in home decor can create a feeling that I want to recreate with paper.

I love finding inspiration in a variety of places - and am trying to be better about *using* that inspiration. I'm constantly pulling pages out of catalogs and magazines and stashing them away for times that I find myself stuck - browsing through this stack usually kickstarts my scrap process. Sometimes I'm inspired by a color scheme or a particular element, or even just the general feeling - but other times, my inspiration is more literal.
I found this image in an Anthropologie catalog and fell in love. I really liked the arrangment of the photos, and the tone on tone background. I knew the Crate Brook line had some good neutrals on the B-sides, so I started with those.
I wanted to add a bit more color, so I punched a few flowers from one of the aqua patterned papers and added them to the page, along with some other embellishments. I raised my main photo on foam adhesive to give the page a bit more dimension - I love to do this when I'm working with a simple design.
I also made a card with the bits and pieces left on my desk after making the page. I layered a scrap of the aqua patterned paper - one that already had shapes punched out of it - over a manila tag, and then added embellishments. I kept my background paper the same as the one on my page, and added a sentiment in the same way that I'd added a title to my page.
Rhonda Palazzari's "Delight Canvas" :: Pink Plum Collection
About the Canvas:
The inspiration for the canvas came from the chipboard word "Delight". I just love the word and it reminded me to delight in the life I have. I love rainbows so I thought that would make a perfect "Delight" background. I always think of daises of happy flowers. Since the background was so colorful, I thought the neutral Sunshine paper from the Brook collection would be a great daisy. For creating a textured background, take a hole punch and an old playing card or gift card and punch half holes randomly along the edge of the card. Drag the punched edge of the card along the painted surface of the canvas to create texture.

The bright, fun colors from the Paper Doll collection are *perfect* for Summer layouts! I used the drops from "Allie" pattern paper to create some colorful splashes and a yellow flower sticker (Brook) as a sun.
Emily Pitts :: Brook Collection
We had planned on doing a sketch for you guys prior to July's arrival, though we ran out of time ever-so-quickly! This layout from Emily was inspired by the sketch and because we absolutely love how simple, classic and clean this layout is, we're sharing it with you today. We'll continue with new sketches after the rig-a-roll of CHA is over.
Before we leave you today, we have one other item we want to mention. We're rounding up sneak peeks our Summer 2010 Collections! We ask that you add us to calendars for the week of the 12th as this is the week we'll begin premiering the new collections - three in all! We've already been showing you snippets of "Restoration" these last couple weeks, but wait 'til you see the rest of the collection! It's remarkably vintage, but with a twist! We won't divulge hints about the other two collections! You'll just have to wait 'til next week to find out more about them...ohhh, we can hardly wait!

Continuing on with our "Weekend of Inspiration" series, today we're presenting a vast variety of works from of blog contributors. As mentioned yesterday, we're dedicating the weekend to them and because we know that most of our blog readers visit this place to find new, intriguing ways to use our goods, we've relied heavily upon them to put forward our collections via their crafty talents these last three months. They're tremendously creative women and without them, we simply couldn't of kept this place going...we've adored everything they've done for us thus far, including the gorgeously adorned layouts below, which are sure to inspire..at least we think so anyway.
Kaori Watanabe :: Brook Collection
This layout is particularly cool because Kaori took advantage of Copic's new Airbrush Set-Up. Before Kaori having mentioned it to us, we never knew that Copic made available this type of system. It's the first time Brook has been partnered with this ultra-modern looking ink delivery device...Kaori's obviously well versed in using Copic's products, so we couldn't be happier with how seamlessly she's combined our Brook collection with Copic's inks..she's a natural at bringing together the ordinary and not-so-ordinary.
Lucy Edson :: Pink Plum & Paper Doll Collections
We fell in love with Lucy's layout the minute we saw it because it's color palette is exceptionally beautiful. She's blended pieces of both Pink Plum and Paper Doll into parts of her layout, including our sparkle chipboard, which easily incorporates itself into Lucy's seamless display of flowers and speckled dots of paint.

A few tip and technique ideas from Lucy
It's fun to build layers in your work and the gorgeous Crate Paper chipboards lets you easily add dimension without too much bulk on your pages. Combining the die-cuts and chipboards adds even more variety and interest. I used torn edges and contrasting machine stitching to draw the eye around the page and focus on the photo. I love how you can achieve so many effects with the Pink Plum Collection - the color way goes from rich and bright to soft and shabby! It's an incredible combination!
Laura Craigie :: Pink Plum Collection
Laura's come up with an eco-friendly way to use the packaging from our Pink Plum collection kit! We figured that at some point, someone would invent a secondary purpose for our pretty kit cover pages and now thanks to Laura, it's finally been done! If it hadn't of been for Laura's mention about the layout, we would of missed this very special feature about her layout..love it Laura!
A technique idea from Laura
For this layout I actually used the cover sheet from the paper packaging - the section with lots of samples of the kit's papers. I knew I wanted on my layout a college looking section, and this made it super easy to create one, and the best part is that it used up something that would of normally been neglected.
Jill Cornell :: Brook Collection

I altered a paper mache box that was from Christmas time and turned it into a keepsake box to celebrate my great nephew's birth. I used patterned paper, die-cuts and stickers from the Brook collection. The lid of the box is covered with yellow vintage buttons that I sprinkled with coarse crystal glitter (awesome idea Jill!) using Diamond Glaze as my adhesive. I wrapped the lid of the box with tulle and American Crafts ribbon. The "play" sticker is from the Brook collection. I adhered it to cardstock and then turned it into a tag that tied off with twine.
Suzanne Sergi :: Paper Doll Collection

I knew the Paper Doll collection would capture the playful personality of my youngest daughter! The bold, and whimsical patterns make it so fun to create with! I love the predesigned titles that come with the Paper Doll collection. I struggled sometimes with my placement choices, so the predesigned title made the rest of the page come together easily! I created dimension on my page by using lots of borders and added texture via machine stitching. I then manipulated the bold ribbon for added playfulness. I'm all about layers, so I incorporated lots of colorful layers into my big, bold white flower die-cut. Finally, I tried something new with my journaling and layered it on top an artisan embellishment. I gave it a white wash and finished off with Tattered Angels Mist! I also misted the white scallop circle tag with Tattered Angles Mist (Pink Bubblegum).
