There are so many reasons to celebrate teachers and the important roles that play in our lives. Today I have a simple gift idea for that special teacher in your life. Succulents are so popular right now and I think that they look so cute dressed up in the perfect jar or pot. Let's face it...everything is cuter in a jar, right?
This gift can be made in a pinch and only takes a few minutes to throw together. First start out by choosing your jars or pots. I picked up two small wooden pots at Target that I thought would be perfect for this project. I loved the geometric shapes and thought that they would look awesome with paint and patterned paper.
Next, paint your pots. I used a gold paint and only painted portions of mine. After the paint is dry you are ready to add patterned paper. I measured each side of my pot using a pencil and a sheet of tracing paper and then cut my paper accordingly.
Next, using Mod Podge glue and a foam brush place your papers on the pot and then apply glue to adhere them down, set aside to dry. Next, remove your succulent plants from the the store pot that they came in and place inside your decorative pot. Your succulents are now ready to use.
To give them a bit of a more personal touch I strung cute little chipboard pieces and tags through a piece of burlap and tied them around each pot. These succulent gifts are sure to brighten up any teacher's day!
