Masks are a fun way to add texture and interest to your scrapbook layouts. There are so many possibilities! I've created three layouts using masks in different ways to share with you, today.
On the first layout, I used a circle mask with acrylic paint. I mixed some green with white until I got the desired shade of green and then dabbed it on my patterned paper with a sponge brush. This layout is mostly made with DIY Shop, but the background paper is from The Pier.
I used the new collection, The Pier, on this next layout. The mask was placed on white cardstock and sprayed with Mister Huey's mist. I then cut out the mask and used it as a layer along with patterned papers under my photo.
This last layout is also with The Pier. I used a mask with watercolor paints this time. I placed the mask on smooth white cardstock and used a paintbrush to fill the inside of each of the mask's sections with the paint.
I hope you're inspired to use masks on your layouts! Give it a try, and have fun with it!
